Delighted to be Supporting NPEG

Senior Strategic Leader, NED and Chair; delivering growth and adding value in real estate, infrastructure and sustainability.
We are once again supporting the National Police Estates Group (NPEG) in the delivery of their Autumn Conference, taking place on the 2nd and 3rd October at Hindlip Park, Worcestershire.
A packed agenda will launch with an introduction from James Payne, Chief Executive Officer for the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire and Isle of Wight.
Supporting NPEG is a part of our continuing relationship with the organisation and we are of course delighted to have been retained as their advisor on nationwide planning policy matters.
Over nearly four years, we have been instructed to protect the interests of NPEG in relation to the Government’s reforms to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) – the document that governs the town planning system in England – and the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL), which controls how developers finance the infrastructure required to support their schemes.
In both cases, the Government has made changes to regulations in accordance with the representations submitted to them by Place Partnership on behalf of NPEG and its partners, enabling emergency services in England to more easily apply for funding towards their infrastructure provision from the town planning system.
NPEG has in turn endorsed our recommendations on this subject to its partners, which include the National Police Chiefs’ Council, Association of Police and Crime Commissioners and the National Fire Chiefs Council.
This outcome underlines how the company’s work makes the difference not only for its own ‘blue light’ shareholders, but for the entire sector nationally.
I am very much looking forward to this year’s event, which will be held in the truly first class location of Hindlip Park, the headquarters for West Mercia Police, one of the many facilities managed by Place Partnership. #police #conference #policing
