2022 has begun along with many people’s resolutions to be healthier. And you’re about to see a lot of “Dry January” posts. And while I’m in favor of taking care of yourself, I’m also in favor of fun.?

So instead of “Dry January,” I’ll be observing “Delicious January.” And here’s a list of five sites to help you kick off the new year with great food and drink.?

1) Untappd.

If beer is your go-to drink, Untappd is a great app. Not only will it give you a list of the most popular local bars, but you get to share and read beer reviews. Whenever you try a new beer, snap a photo with your phone, upload it, and review it. The app keeps track of all the brews you’ve tried and gives you suggestions.? You can also follow friends to see what they are drinking and you can earn badges for your beer tasting!

2) Hello Vino.

I love wine — and Hello Vino is a great app if you’re stuck in the wine aisle and not sure what to pick for dinner, a (virtual) party, or a night in. It’s like a personal wine assistant to help you pair the right wine with the right occasion.

3) Delectable.

With this app you can search any wine you may be curious about and it will give you a full description to help you learn more about it. I also use it to take photos of wine labels to remember my favorite varietals. Delectable is perfect if you want to become (or appear like) a wine connoisseur.

4) Drizly.

You can get your wine and spirits delivered right to your house with FREE delivery with Drizly! No more running out at the last minute! Or send some to a friend who just got some good news as a gift! This is my kind of outsourcing ?? (only available in NYC right now).

5) Grubhub.

Since the pandemic began, more and more restaurants are offering specialty drinks, beer, or wine on their takeout menus. Grubhub offers a wide variety of restaurants that you can pick up or get delivery from in your area.?

So get yourself that burger and a beer and enjoy the new year!
