?I shared this email series on Delegation early last year and I’m sharing it again over the next few weeks because…
These tips and insights are GAME-CHANGING for your business.
So let’s dive in…
"Yewande, is it really worth me delegating?!"
My answer is always…
"YES!"
As a leader in your business, your ability to create growth and impact is limited without delegating.
To achieve your ambitious plans for this year, you're going to need to lighten the load on your shoulders - and that means sharing the load.
I know - it feels uncomfortable! ??
After all, doesn’t it make sense to keep doing it all yourself?
?? You're the best at that task, right?!
?? In the time it takes to show someone, you could just do it yourself.
?? No one is as invested as you in getting the results - this is your baby!?
I totally get that. I've felt the same.?
Here's the thing: What got you here won’t get you to the next level.
As a leader in your business, your value and impact are not in the minutiae things you used to do!
At this next level, your value is in the things that only YOU can do to create the business results you want:
- Making the big decisions.
- Planning strategic moves.- Investing in the right areas.

- Getting the most out of your people
Think of it this way:
You’re not freeing yourself from tasks, you're freeing yourself up for the impactful activities that will make the difference in your company’s growth.?
? Spending too much time firefighting?
?? Delegating means freeing up your time and energy for strategically thinking to properly address those time-consuming fires.
? Struggling to keep your team happy?
?? Delegating gives your people the opportunities to grow, take more ownership, and feel valued in the company. ?
? Close to burnout?
?? Delegating will free you up to manage your energy and ensure you’re showing up at peak performance everyday. ?
This week:
?? List 3 critical growth activities that you know would drive business results, if only you had more time and energy to focus on them.?
?? List the activities taking up your time, energy, and headspace that you really shouldn’t be doing.
?? Delegate at least 1 (overachievers: delegate 3+) to someone else.?
?? Prioritise your first critical growth activity, now that you’ve freed up the time for it.
Warmest regards,
Yewande
