To Delegate or Not to Delegate?

Delegation works even when it fails. That’s right. Employees make mistakes that lead to growth. Without empowering employees to try a new responsibility and sometimes fail employers miss the opportunity to learn the key capabilities or strengths of their employees.

Albert Einstein believed everyone has genius. We’re with Einstein. The IQG, Innate Qualities and Genius, a fundamental of COBE, is a process that identifies natural talents. We know when we are in the state of our IQG because it doesn’t feel like work. Why not give your employees the same opportunity to work at what they do best, which you can tap into through delegation?

  1. No one can do the job as well as I can
  2. I don’t have the right people in place?
  3. It takes too much time to train or coach?
  4. Clients only want to work directly with me
  5. ?I can’t give up control. Ah, this might be the real reluctance.

If you want to scale and grow your business implement these essential first steps:

  1. Decide which project or the responsibilities you want to delegate. Start small.
  2. Communicate with clarity the requirements of the task and expectation
  3. Develop processes to expedite the training and coaching
  4. If you value the employee, change their role best suited to their IQG
  5. Accept the fact the employee most likely won’t perform the job or task as well as you. Yet
