It seems so obvious to get going with AI but many enterprises feel blocked when considering using AI in a way that will really positively impact their customer experiences as well as their own internal operations and efficiency.
I see many do this and they delay AI implementation because of how they view their data.
It's not their fault - they think AI requires flawless, massive datasets to function effectively - they believe perfect data is needed to start.
But the truth is, it’s not about needing perfect data; it’s about starting with your existing data and improving quality over as you learn alongside your AI solutions.
Better data will lead to more value from Generative AI in the end but that shouldn't stop you from starting!

Begin with your IT & Business team looking at what you have in terms of data. Work to establish pilot use cases for AI, creating a backlog for these and use Data Quality tools to get an understanding of available data to support the use cases as well as the quality therein.
Choose a priority use case and experiment; learn about what is important and what data sets need to be improved to support the key business AI use cases.
?? Implement Robust Data Cleansing Processes
Well-managed data supports business growth and innovation by being scalable whilst enabling the improvement of key business use cases and processes.

Educate and incentivise end users, leverage tools and ensure validation exists around key data.
?? Clean and Repeat
With a stronger Data foundation to support your key AI journeys and use cases, ensure Data Audits continue and uplift data quality levels by correcting highlighted data issues and ensuring accuracy and integrity is maintained for key data fields at point of entry or update.
Follow on from this by looking at new use cases from your AI backlog and repeat the flow. Better data will lead to more value from Generative AI in the end but that shouldn't stop you from starting NOW!
