Don't Let Monday Ruin Your Sunday.
?YOUR SUNDAY SEVEN?
1.?Want to Write a Book This Year?
We all have a great idea to share with the world. Do you have a book in you?
Tune into this episode of No More Mondays, where I sit down with Sally Ekus to glean her wisdom and knowledge on all things publishing. Be ready to take notes!
2.?Automate Your Day
"Our brains love routine, and the less work your brain has to do, the happier it will be," says Colleen D. Cira, PsyD, founder and executive director of the Cira Center for Behavioral Health in Chicago.?
This is why I Love. A. Good. Routine! Routines are our way of automating things that aren’t really automatic but can be systematized, which helps you conserve energy for the day's more difficult things.
3.?Delay Start Your Caffeine Consumption
Studies show it's better to let your body wake up for a bit in the morning before chugging the black stuff. Apparently, this allows your hormone levels to come down for an hour or two before injecting them with?caffeine.
--> How's that for a piece of my own advice that I'm?highly unlikely?to take??
4.?To Breakfast or Not Breakfast
Breakfast is an important meal of the day - we 80’s kids have heard it repeatedly: it’s the most important meal of the day.?
Here’s the thing - breakfast isn’t just about when you eat, it’s about what you eat as well. Ideally, your first meal of the day should include a lot of protein to support muscle retention after your body’s overnight fast. And while you may not be hungry as soon as your feet hit the floor, aim to eat within the first hour after waking. Your body is primed to take on nutrients during that time.

5.?Just Got Laid Off or Know Someone Who Was?
It's happening, and while I could go into a diatribe about why (oh, wait - I WILL do that when this week's Career News drops on Thursday!), we want to support those of you impacted by current downsizing.?
If this is you, click here to read 9 things to do to bounce back?after a layoff, and then listen to No More Mondays Podcast episode with Kevin D. for some additional inspiration on finding life after a layoff.
6.?Do a Brain Dump or Mind Sweep
Get things out of your head and in one place to reference later.
Whether it’s a notepad by your bed, a note in your phone, or a voice memo, create a dumping ground. Not only will it help you recall important things later, but it also clears the cache out of your brain to reduce distractions and improve focus in the here and now.
7. Tune out by tuning into something new on TV.
Wait, you're telling me to watch television?
There is nothing wrong with a little moderated screen time where you can be transported to a new world, find stuff to strike up different dinner conversations, or get inspired to make a new meal.
There's so much good stuff on right now!
Here's what we're watching
Here's to a great week, every week!

2 年I do the brain dump each evening and it makes a huge difference for me Angie. I’ve also been trying to delay my coffee intake to at least 90mins after I wake up.
