Compared GB 2760-2014, GB 2760-2024 eliminates the use of dehydroacetic acid and Sodium Dehydroacetate?in butter and concentrated butter starch products, bread, pastries, baking food fillings, surface hanging paste, and Fruit and vegetable juice (pulp).
The new standard?GB 2760-2024?can still be used in pickled edible mushrooms and algae, fermented bean products, cooked meat products (excluding 08.03.08 canned meat), and composite seasonings. The maximum amount added to pickled vegetables has been adjusted from 1g/kg to 0.3g/kg.
The implementation period of the new standard starts from February 8, 2025. Before February 8, 2025, food enterprises can still use dehydroacetic acid and Sodium Dehydroacetate?in accordance with the scope of use and dosage specified in GB 2760-2014 for normal use.
GB 2760-2024 is only suitable for China market. Different countries and nations use their own food additives policy.
