Definiteness of Vision/Purpose

Definiteness of Vision/Purpose

“Look, and it can’t be seen. Listen, and it can’t be heard. Reach, and it can’t be grasped.”

I think this is probably one of, if not the most important questions in life. Nothing, (especially for young people) has as much power on how one lives and sees life than a vision. A vision dictates the experiences one enjoys, the impact one leaves and the essence and meaning of one’s life.

We all hear terms like “goal-getter”, “goal-achiever” and the like. Those terms would be non-existent without the vision to see which goals are worthy to pursue and which ones deserve to fall off. Having a worthy vision can help you accept a worthy goal and save you from the confusion of chasing the wrong one — Looking without seeing or as J. Cole the poet puts it, coming the right way and going the long way.

If you haven’t listened to Love yours by J. Cole, I highly recommend it.

Having a worthy vision is only one part, the next and hardest part is making it definite.

From my understanding, I like to call this part choosing a reality. There are unlimited versions of us floating around in the cosmos and with every second, every decision, every sustained intention, we are choosing one…sometimes it is not necessarily the one we would like but ultimately each reality will and can serve a purpose as long as you choose it consciously and surrender to it completely.

I believe choice and trust are the keys. Choose or not, the choice will be made. Trust or resist, your suffering is your choice.

In order to have and maintain my definite vision, I have had to make some difficult choices this month. Funny enough, choosing not to suffer unnecessarily can be a tough decision but I am grateful because these choices are inspiring lasting growth, helping me confront myself, while letting go of labels, mistakes, events and people no longer serve me.

As I dive deeper, I have come to realize that these are all perceptions within the infinite perception, that one must understand to embrace true potential, but that is a topic for another newsletter.

I want to encourage you today:

Trust, choose and allow inspiration this week and may it carry you forward towards your definite vision.
