Define Your Work

Last time, we embarked on a journey through the pages of Jordan Raynor's remarkable book, "Redeeming Your Time."?

We navigated through the initial stages of Chapter 2, unearthing valuable insights that promise to revolutionize our approach to time management. If you've ever grappled with the overwhelming chaos of tasks, the fear of losing track, or any of the countless time management challenges that life throws our way, Chapter 2 of this book will resonate deeply with you.

Raynor, in this chapter, unveils his interpretation of the renowned "Getting Things Done" (GTD) system. Let's be honest; it's a rarity to find someone who's flawlessly mastered a system like GTD. Most of us stumble through life, occasionally dropping a ball or two, while quietly nursing anxiety about the impending crash of those airborne tasks (unless, of course, you're one of those supremely carefree souls).

As a follower of Christ, I yearn for my "yes" to genuinely mean "yes." I long to walk in the peace promised by God. What I've discovered is that achieving either of these desires necessitates the implementation of a system—one that captures every one of my to-dos, those open loops that require attention and review at least weekly.

In the pursuit of inner peace and the trust of being someone who consistently follows through on their commitments, we press on.?

Here’s the rub. If we don’t empty all our inboxes every day, the task of “getting clear” will get bigger and bigger. The bigger and scarier the task, the more likely we are to put it off until we “have more time.” Read More.
