Define the Problem

One of the things I learned this year is to spend time really defining and understanding the problem the company is facing before determining the best way to solve it. And then, even after starting down a solution path, revalidate the problem definition frequently to make sure progress is being made. Often in the past, we have jumped at a “solution” only to find we were addressing symptoms and not fixing the real issue.
