Solutions may leverage techniques including visual reference, inertial, timing propagation via signals, magnetic, and solar or astrological navigation, or may be based upon entirely novel techniques. Companies with unmanned aerial systems (UAS) technologies may submit their platforms, components, capabilities, or software for the potential to be included on the Blue UAS or Blue UAS Framework list. Submissions are due Aug. 19.

$2.25M Available for Silicon Carbide (SiC) Packaging | Aug. 30, 2024 | Prize Challenge | U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)

Innovators are invited to propose, design, build, and test state-of-the-art SiC packaging prototypes that advance the industry for the opportunity to receive part of $2.25 million in prizes. Submissions are due Aug. 30.

$125,000 Available to Students for Cyber Resiliency and Measurement Solutions | Sept. 8, 2024 | Prize Challenge | Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD)

Student innovators with the ability to develop mathematical models and software algorithms to assess cyber resiliency and evaluate a system’s architecture, defined functions, hardware and software needs, known cyber vulnerabilities, and the effectiveness of its defensive capabilities against cyber attack from one or more advanced persistent threats (APTs.) may submit their solutions to NSWCDD for the opportunity to win part of $125,000. Submissions are due Sept. 8.

Innovators with solutions for advanced data integrity and control, sustainment and obsolescence, and advanced robotic automation for industrial processes may submit their solution for the opportunity to receive funding from the Navy. Funding Available for Warfighter Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) | Sept. 10, 2024 | Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Grant | DARPA

Small businesses with lightweight, flexible, and breathable PPE solutions that could protect warfighters from extreme environments and chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosives (CBRNE) threats without restricting their movement may submit their solutions for the opportunity to receive STTR funding. Small businesses hybrid electric powertrain, power, and propulsion systems may submit their solutions to the Army for the opportunity to receive a $250,000 Phase I SBIR grant or a Direct to Phase II (DP2) SBIR grant. Up to $15M Available for Phase II SBIR Awardees | Sept. 18, 2024 | Strategic Funding Increase (STRATFI)/Tactical Funding Increase (TACFI)?

Small businesses that have been awarded a Phase II SBIR contract within the last two years are eligible to apply for additional funding through the U.S. Air Force’s STRATFI/TACFI program to help them bridge the “Valley of Death'' between Phase II and Phase III.? STRATFI/TACFI can be based on a Phase II contract from another service, however, the effort must have an Air Force end-user. Submissions close Sept. 18.
