Innovators with the ability to create expeditionary power capabilities for a mobile space domain awareness platform may submit their solutions to win part of $75,000 during NSIN’s Expeditionary Energy Challenge, presented in partnership with the 15th Space Surveillance Squadron (15 SPSS). Innovators with the ability to create prototype kits or systems that navigate waterways and autonomously assemble improved ribbon bridges (IRBs) may submit their solutions for the opportunity to receive up to $1,900,000 in available DP2 SBIR funding. Submissions are due June 11.?

Innovators with solutions for self-location data in GPS-denied situations, uncrewed system (UxS) threat warnings, the delivery/dissemination of psychological operations products via self-guided aerial delivery, non-attributable mobile mesh network radios, and distributed electromagnetic sensing, automated characterization and simple reporting systems may submit their solutions to xTechSpecial Forces. Selected participants will win part of $470,000 and will have the opportunity to submit for up to $10 million in Army contracts. Submissions are due June 12.

Innovators with artificial intelligence (AI) solutions that have the potential to expedite and enhance building design and cost modeling across disciplines, codes, and site conditions may submit their solutions for the opportunity to win part of a $250,000 prize pool during the NSIN Presents: AI Infrastructure Challenge held in partnership with the U.S. Navy Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), and the Program Executive Office Industrial Infrastructure (PEO II). Submissions are due June 19.

[NEW] $1 Million Available to Cyber Innovators | June 21, 2024 | Prize Challenge | NSIN - National Security Innovation Network and UC2- Department of Defense University Consortium for Cybersecurity

University Affiliated Research Centers (UARCs) and university faculty, researchers, and students with solutions to address critical cyber threats faced by the DoD using technologies for modeling and predictive analysis, persona and influence, and data and permeability may submit their solutions for the opportunity to win part of a $1 million prize pool. An Ask Me Anything Session will be held on May 31. Solutions are due June 21.

Funding Available for Suppressor Handguard Design | June 25, 2024 | Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Grant | U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM)

Innovators with the ability to create a suppressor handguard that could be mounted without tools and could manage thermal conductivity to allow rapid fire while maintaining a comfortable surface temperature may submit their solutions to USSOCOM for the opportunity to receive funding. This topic is in pre-release. The topic opens on May 21 and closes on June 25.

Innovators with the ability to develop applied research to support the development of additive manufacturing in a deployed environment that could decrease down time for foreign and non-standard weapons parts, motor pool parts, and dental accessories may submit their solutions to USSOCOM for the opportunity to receive funding. This topic is in pre-release. The topic opens on May 21 and closes on June 25.

Innovators with innovative technologies that are powered by the ocean and enable sustainable and responsible use of resources, better prediction and tracking of tropical storms, better monitoring of aquaculture, a greater understanding of the ocean’s role in climate change mitigation, and more may submit their solutions to the DOE and NOAA for the opportunity to win part of the $1,700,000 prize purse. Submissions are due July 26.

Funding Available for Non-GPS Navigation Solutions | Aug. 1, 2024 | Innovative Capabilities Opening (ICO) | AFWERX

Innovators with alternative navigation solutions for small unmanned autonomous systems (sUAS) may submit their solutions to AFWERX for the opportunity to receive awards. Solutions may leverage techniques including visual reference, inertial, timing propagation via signals, magnetic, and solar or astrological navigation, or may be based upon entirely novel techniques. Submissions are due Aug. 1.

Funding Available for Information and Communication Technologies Research | Aug. 9, 2024 | Research Announcement (RA) | Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)

Innovators with fundamental research that could enable novel information and communications technologies covering topics including high-performance, energy efficient devices; monolithic and heterogeneous integration; memory and storage; systems and architecture for distributed computing; intelligent sensing; connectivity; and cognition may submit their solutions to DARPA for the opportunity to receive funding. Submissions are due Aug. 9.

$2.25M Available for Silicon Carbide (SiC) Packaging | Aug. 30, 2024 | Prize Challenge | U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)

Innovators are invited to propose, design, build, and test state-of-the-art SiC packaging prototypes that advance the industry for the opportunity to receive part of $2.25 million in prizes. Submissions are due Aug. 30.

Funding Available for Multiple Technologies | Sept. 9, 2024 | Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) | Office of Naval Research (ONR) and Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL)

Innovators with research that covers the topic areas of interest of ONR or MCWL (find topic areas under the “BAA” tab) may submit their proposals for the opportunity to receive funding from ONR or MCWL. Submissions are due Sept. 9.

Innovative small businesses with dual-use technologies that have the potential to address Army needs may submit their solutions for the opportunity to participate in Army experimentation and demonstration events. Submissions are due June 11, 2024.

VERTEX Air-Ground Littoral | June 26, 2024 | Event | Army Applications Laboratory (AAL)

Innovators with solutions to enable the Army to control the air-ground littoral – the area between the ground and a few thousand feet above it – may submit applications to participate in VERXTX, a two-day symposium event. The event gives innovators the opportunity to provide market intelligence that may be used to inform decision making on everything from future warfighting concepts to government requirements. Applications are due June 26.
