Technology vendors, energy service companies, and utilities with heat pump solutions that will enable the Department of Defense (DoD) to improve the energy efficiency of their space and water heating systems and reduce their associated greenhouse gas emissions may be awarded an OTA from DIU with the potential for follow-on contracts. Submissions are due Jan. 16.?

Grants Available for Homeland Security Innovations | Jan. 17, 2023 | Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Grant | U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS)

Innovators with scientific or technological solutions that address a broad range of challenges facing DHS may be awarded contracts by the Department. Submissions are due Jan. 17.

$45,000 Available to AI/ML Student Innovators | Jan. 22, 2023 | Prize Challenge | Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

Students with artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) solutions that use data to improve safety and enhance operational efficiency of the National Aerospace System (NAS), contribute to sustainability in aviation, or assess risk for novel uses of the NAS may be awarded part of a $45,000 prize pool from the FAA. Submissions are due Jan. 22.

$100,000 in Awards Available to Students | Jan. 30, 2023 | Prize Challenge | Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD)

University teams may submit ideas for designing and training algorithms that can trigger ships to automatically schedule and coordinate weapons systems in response to adversarial actions. Student teams selected during the white paper phase will be eligible to compete for part of $100,000 and the opportunity to present their submissions to NSWCDD. Submissions are due Jan. 30.

$150,000 Available for Underwater Health-Monitoring Solutions | Jan. 30, 2023 | SBIR Grant | Army Applications Laboratory (AAL)

Biotechnology innovators with underwater health-monitoring solutions that will enable the Army to improve safety during diver qualification courses through real-time monitoring of divers’ vitals may be awarded a SBIR grant of up to $150,000? from AAL. Submissions are due Jan. 30.?

Computer science innovators with solutions for the generation of synthetic (SynGen) training data for computer vision (CV) algorithms may be awarded $75,000 and have the potential for follow-on opportunities with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). Opportunities Available to Biotech Innovators | April 20, 2023 | Broad Agency Announcement | Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)

Innovators in the field of biotechnology may submit research covering topics including human performance; materials, sensors, and processing; ecosystem and environment; biosecurity and biosafety; and biomedicine and biodefense to receive funding from DARPA. Innovators with selected abstracts may receive requests for full proposals. Submissions are due April 20.

Innovators in the field of biotechnology may submit their research and development?covering topics including?early intervention for life-threatening injuries; prolonged field care; human performance optimization; canine medicine and performance; brain health; immune response; automation of systematic reviews and meta-analysis; and post-traumatic stress, depression, and anxiety treatment to receive funding from the U.S. Army.?The sponsor will negotiate the award types for selected proposals.
