Students with artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) solutions that use data to improve safety and enhance operational efficiency of the National Aerospace System (NAS), contribute to sustainability in aviation, or assess risk for novel uses of the NAS may be awarded part of a $45,000 prize pool from the FAA. University teams may submit ideas for designing and training algorithms that can trigger ships to automatically schedule and coordinate weapons systems in response to adversarial actions.
