U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin

Dedicated to joint arms production between Ukraine and the United States, the DFNC1: U.S. Edition brought together about 350 representatives of the defense industry from the United States, Ukraine, and Europe, as well as government officials from around the world.

The U.S. Department of Defense, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Intent on joint production and technical data exchange.

Key achievements of the DFNC1: U.S.

  • The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry for Strategic Industries of Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the U.S. Department of Defense on co-production and technical data exchange. The Memorandum sets localization of the defense industry in Ukraine as one of the main priorities (a joint production of 155mm rounds with two major US ammunition production companies; FrankenSAM portfolio of projects to create hybrid solutions that combine Soviet and NATO elements)?
  • The United States announced the establishment of the Ukraine Deal Team, an interagency group consisting of representatives of the U.S. Department of State, Department of Defense, and Department of Commerce to support partners in potential deals for Ukraine's defense industry.?

During the second day of the conference, BRAVE1 led the panel discussion "SHAPING THE FUTURE OF WARFARE: UNMANNED TECHNOLOGIES" with participation:??

Project Lead of Brave1
Project Lead of Brave1 Nataliia Kushnerska : "Our key goal during this visit was to connect relevant Ukrainian and U.S. industry in defense tech and the government to discuss initiatives that could enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities, boost industry partnership to support the Ukrainian Army on the frontline. Ukraine became the global defense tech hub; today, it has the momentum to be in the most dynamic R&D environment to produce the most cutting-edge solutions for military forces and protect the free world's values."

Also, during the visit, our team visited The Aspen Security Forum and met with colleagues from DIU and several other stakeholders to discuss the further steps of cooperation and collaboration to support Ukrainian innovative engineering teams, companies, and initiatives.

International Partnerships Lead Sergiy Koshman
International Partnerships Lead Sergiy Koshman : ?Significant changes in the core principles of modern warfare, the widespread use of drones, robots, and electronic warfare, are forcing us to reconsider our approaches, as well as to build a solid industrial base to support our defense efforts. And it is not only about helping Ukraine. The Western allies are also struggling to keep up with the pace of innovations. So we have to establish a common ecosystem to develop, test, and produce required capabilities on the scale to effectively deal with the security challenges of our time.?

We continue to develop the defense tech ecosystem in Ukraine, producing products and solutions that not only save lives on the frontline but also enhance unique competitive advantage in innovations for all NATO allies.

I'd like to work for You as old technology strategic buyer. I think Ukraine needs at least 100 jets and 750 tanks and other armor. Your Embassy in Budapest did not answer my letter in last May. I could send it to You via a safe e-mail again.
