High-Energy Laser Defeats Mortars & Drones in Live-Fire Exercise

During live-fire exercises, an industry team led by?Raytheon Intelligence & Space?and?Kord?used a 50kW-class high energy laser integrated on a Stryker combat vehicle to defeat multiple 60mm mortar rounds.

The directed energy weapon system — part of the US Army’s Directed Energy Maneuver-Short Range Air Defense (DE M-SHORAD) — acquired, tracked, targeted and defeated multiple mortars and successfully accomplished multiple tests simulating real-world scenarios. Learn more>

Bundeswehr Acquires 145 Foldable Drones?

Airrobot, part of?Nordic Unmanned, has signed the MIKADO contract to supply the Bundeswehr with 145 of its modular AR100-H drone systems and training support for military personnel.?
