MilDef ?has released an article that explores how the company integrated a ruggedized camera system for the?Swedish Coast Guard.
The surveillance system of vessel series 001 and 031 hit the end-of-life mark, and the systems’ essential components had become discontinued.
MilDef examined a total of 117 cameras; 103 of them were replaced, and 14 were added, all while ensuring the same functionalities from the previous system but also including brand-new features. Read the full article>
The Department of National Defense (DND) Canada has awarded? Galvion ?a contract for Batlskin Caiman ballistic helmet systems.
The one-year framework contract will see the delivery of around 2,100 helmets and 4,200 helmet covers, in two patterns, along with spare parts.
There is an option to extend to 5 years, with delivery of up to 8,400 additional helmets and accessories. Find out more>

The? U.S. Coast Guard ?has selected? 霍尼韦尔航空航天 ’s IntuVue RDR-7000 weather radar system as an upgrade to existing systems on its Sikorsky MH-60 Jayhawk and Eurocopter MH-65 Dolphin multimission helicopters.
The upgraded RDR-7000 system will feature state-of-the-art capabilities, including fully automated tilt and gain controls, an intuitive weather return display and advanced surveillance of maritime vessels. Learn more>
The? British Army ?will acquire? SPEE3D ’s cold-spray metal 3D printing technology to help develop its unplanned repair capabilities.
In addition to the purchase, the British Army has signed a two-year contract to work with SPEE3D, which will involve delivering training courses, and working closely with the British Army’s Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Read more>
