5th Generation fighter jet program of India??
India's 5th generation fighter jet program is known as the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA). It is being developed by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) in collaboration with the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
The AMCA is designed to be a stealthy, multirole fighter jet with advanced avionics and weapons systems. It will have the capability to engage both air and ground targets, and will be equipped with advanced electronic warfare systems, sensors, and data fusion capabilities.
The AMCA will have a maximum takeoff weight of around 25,000 kg and will be powered by two afterburning turbofan engines. It will have a maximum speed of Mach 2.5 and a range of over 3,500 km.
The AMCA is expected to be equipped with advanced weapons systems, including air-to-air missiles, air-to-surface missiles, and precision-guided bombs. It will also have a state-of-the-art electronic warfare suite to counter enemy radar and other sensors.
The AMCA program is still in the development phase, and the first prototype is expected to be ready by 2025. The Indian Air Force has expressed interest in inducting around 200 AMCA jets into its fleet once they are operational.

HAL, on 6 December 2023, hit its all-time high peak of Rs 2,754.2. Since its listing in March 2018, the stock has zoomed over 365%.
The company has been in the limelight recently as it demonstrated its contributions toward achieving self-reliance in avionics to its stakeholders, including the Indian armed forces, during the two-day 'HAL Avionics Expo-2023' held in New Delhi from 7 December 2023.
Further, this historic rise can be attributed to India's defence ministry clearing acquisition proposals worth Rs 2.2 trillion (tn) for the armed forces, including 97 additional light combat aircraft and 156 light combat helicopters from HAL and indigenous towed artillery gun systems.
Further, the Defence Acquisition Council has approved the purchase of 97 light combat aircraft Mk 1A for the IAF from HAL. Besides, HAL will be involved in the upgrade of the Su-30 MKI Aircraft.
Going forward, the company is gearing up to create a new business division with a focus on boosting exports.
India's 3rd Aircraft carrier development program

The development of the third aircraft carrier is expected to take several years, and it is expected to be commissioned into service by the mid-2030s. The carrier will enhance India's naval capabilities and strengthen its position as a dominant naval power in the Indian Ocean region.
Cochin Shipyard
Cochin Shipyard is a government-owned company and India's largest public-sector shipyard by capacity. Even though it is registered as a commercial shipyard, it derives most of its revenues from building and repairing defence ships.
It's not just a unique player to ride the potential in India's defence manufacturing space, but the company is towering strong performance in a challenging sector.
Cochin Shipyard on 7 December 2023 hit its all-time high peak of Rs 1,312.7. Since its listing in August 2017, the stock has zoomed over 140%.
On 30 November, the company unveiled the initial three vessels in a series of eight Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Crafts, currently in production, and were launched at its Kochi Yard for the Indian Navy.
The contract for constructing these ASW SWC ships was inked between the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Cochin Shipyard on 30 April 2019.

Bharat Dynamics, on 7 December 2023, hit its all-time high peak of Rs 1,313.3. Since its listing in March 2018, the stock has zoomed over 225%.
The surge in Bharat Dynamics is due to its involvement in manufacturing the Nirbhay class of missiles, which are poised to receive heightened attention as all three branches of the armed forces will incorporate these projectiles capable of striking targets over 1,000 kilometres away.
Approximately two years ago, the government approved the missile's induction into the inventory of the first two services, and there are now plans to extend its deployment to the third service as well.
