Celadyne Powers Ground Support Vehicles As They Expand Partnership With U.S. Army

Today Celadyne, the decarbonization and hydrogen solution company, announced the launch of their Army SBIR Phase II in partnership with the United States Army.

Celadyne develops advanced technologies that effectively convert hydrogen to usable energy through compact, easy-to-use fuel cells that seamlessly integrate. Previously, Celadyne joined forces with the U.S. Army to demonstrate 50kW fuel cells onto some support vehicles.

They have signed a $1.9M expansion contract as they transition into Phase II of their partnership. Phase II aims to build on these prior successes and further integrate advanced membranes into 50 kW fuel cells for support vehicle applications. NASA Establishes New Class of Astrophysics Missions, Selects Studies

Two proposals for missions to observe X-ray and far-infrared wavelengths of light from space were selected by NASA for additional review, the agency announced. Each proposal team will receive $5 million to conduct a 12-month mission concept study. After detailed evaluation of those studies, NASA expects to select one concept in 2026 to proceed with construction, for a launch in 2032.

The resulting mission will become the first in a new class of NASA astrophysics missions within the agency's longstanding Explorers Program. Cargo-partner GmbH, a group company of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC., conducted a drone flight demonstration at its warehouse in Fischamend, Austria, on Thursday, September 12 in collaboration with Spiral Inc., a portfolio company of the NX Global Innovation Fund.
