Budget Snapshot:
Defence iQ has just released its Unmanned Systems International Programme and Budget Snapshot 2024-2029, which provides a comprehensive analysis of the investments and strategies various countries are adopting for uncrewed platforms, including UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) and UGVs (Unmanned Ground Vehicles).
The report underscores the global trend towards increased adoption and investment in uncrewed systems across various military domains. Each country’s strategy and investment reflect their unique geopolitical contexts and strategic objectives, with a clear move towards integrating advanced autonomous technologies into military operations.
Report:
The dismounted soldier remains the backbone of any force, and as such, forces strive to maintain their lethality, survivability, and mobility. This endeavour is only further complicated by the need for a networked force approaching multi-domain capability. The following report includes: Short-term modernisation programmes, the aims of the various soldier programmes, and where applicable, the contracts involved with the modernisation process.
Presentation:
The “US Army Mortar Requirements” presentation was delivered last year at the Future Mortar Systems conference by Colonel Shaun S. Conlin, Jr., Maneuver Capabilities Development Integration Directorate Director, Soldier Requirements Division, US Army.
The US Army is a global leader in propelling development that advances the capabilities of indirect fire systems and will join us this year at the Future Mortar Systems conference taking place from 29-30 October 2024 at the Copthorne Tara Hotel, London, UK.
Interview:
The DHS Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP) is dedicated to implementing the US National Policy for Countering Improvised Explosive Devices (C-IED) and enhancing national security. By building public and private capabilities to deter, prevent, and respond to bombing incidents, the OBP plays a crucial role in safeguarding the United States.
Sean Haglund, Associate Director of the Office for Bombing Prevention, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure, explores how the OBP undertakes this challenging task and collaborates with industry partners on training opportunities.
