DeepSeek: Unleashing Perplexity's Potential for Entrepreneurs #DeepSeek #Perplexity

You have probably heard about DeepSeek R1, the new AI tool that has incredible speed, insights, and power.

It really is a great tool for content, creators, and other Entrepreneurs trying to get ahead.

However, there's a big problem that is well known. That problem is that it is based in China and their user agreement requires you to give up all rights to anything you have and any future changes they make you are subject to as well.

Now THAT is pretty dog-gone infuriating!

So until a few days ago, we were caught in a dilemma. We've got this wonderful tool called DeepSeek R1, but you give up any infinitesimal tidbit of privacy.

Then the hero came to the rescue.

That hero is my buddy Perplexity, which is a great LLM that has helped us for quite a while.

Perplexity took the bold step to use the technology of DeepSeek R1 and run it on servers based in the US, Canada, and Europe. The big difference is that servers in those countries have a different set of privacy standards that are more in line with what we are used to.

Being the jaded journalist that I am, (they taught us to sneer, step back and say, "Yeah, right, Sure!" in our most cynical voices and facial expressions) I was very doubtful.

So I used Perplexity and the R1 option that it gives to access DeepSeek and gave it "The Test."

I ran questions through it questioning China, the Chinese Communist Party, Tiananmen Square 1989, and other gnarly questions that Chinese government officials not only don't like to answer but violently oppose.

This jaded journalist was gob smacked (clever term) and flat out, amazed at the truth that it gave me.

DeepSeek R1 --- when coupled with Perplexity --- worked beautifully!

So think about what you have waiting for you.

This is a tool that is remarkably fast and gives you a different perspective than you're going to get with some of the other AI tools.

I recommend you take a look into it and check it out thoroughly.

It does require the Pro version of Perplexity, which will set you back a whopping 20 bucks per month. (Come on, it's worth it for business!)

I have been blown away with what it can do with that new faster, processing, and "reasoning" capability.

That means that it doesn't just give you a quick fancy-pants answer, but rather "Thinks" through the process (Yeah, this is pretty deep that a computer and AI can "think") to get your best answers.

I'd recommend you give it a whirl and see what happens.

As a sidenote, you'll discover that Perplexity has eliminated our loved and cherished options of "focus."

This gave us the option to focus on Writing, Social Media, Academic Reviews, All Web, Math, and Video.

When I asked my friends (yes, I consider them "friends") at Perplexity queries about it the answer told me to essentially build that into my prompts.

That's where the "reasoning" of R1 comes in as well.

Oh, and did you notice there is another "Reasoning" option with o3-mini?

That is where Perplexity shines again.

This is a feature that is designed to compete with DeepSeek R1 from our buddies over at OpenAI who have given us ChatGPT.

In truth, both o3 – mini and DeepSeek R1 are pretty doggone good!

In my experience, I have found that each one has particular strength.

Competition is a good thing!

So my fellow, Content Creators, Writers, YouTubers, Podcasters, and other creators of valuable information that people want --- fasten your seatbelt kids! The fun is gonna intensify!

I'd recommend that you have some fun exploring the possibilities.

Do your own tests of DeepSeek R1 on Perplexity (where it is safer).

Play around with o3-mini and see what it is like with those gnarly, tough questions you have. Yes, I'm talking about all your tough "Yea, but what about ...." kind of questions.

I'm already in tears, missing my buddies from focus that we had in Perplexity.

However, I'm dedicated and committed to getting better prompts to achieve even better results using R1 and o3 – mini.
