DeepOcean employees donate 100s of presents to local charity

Christmas has come early for one food bank thanks to the generosity of staff at DeepOcean. Shildon food bank, run by Shildon Alive, a St John’s Church initiative, supports thousands of families every year with food parcels, but has something extra to offer this Christmas to help spread festive cheer.

More than 100 toys have been gifted to the food bank from generous staff at DeepOcean, based in Darlington. Katie Johnson, HR Manager, said: “The toy appeal has gone brilliantly and we are so pleased to be able to help the local community, especially at this time of year.” Rev David Tomlinson added: “I think it’s absolutely wonderful. I’m speechless. “We often get food parcels but rarely toys, especially new toys. They have thought of everything, there is something for everyone here.” Paula Nelson, Community Project Manager, added: “We’ve already thought of families we can help. It’s just fantastic.”

well done... DeepOcean
