Buzzwords like AI and ML are too much popular now.
AI-generative tools like ChatGPT are among the top hype households enjoy discussing and using.
I am curious how people go after an untested technology for many real-world applications, including medical, surgical, health, education, entertainment, advertisement, sales and marketing, and whatnot.
Deepfake services are readily available for testing.
Deepfake services are readily available on the web.
But people are still adopting AI for anything and everything without asking any questions.
What about Deepfake faceswap?
In the first week of February 2024, the news headline was on Deepfake face swap attacks on ID verification systems!
The news reports that the Deepfake-based face swap attacks on facial ID verification systems rose by 704% in 2023!
In February 2020, the identity verification company Clearview suffered severe data breach attacks, leaking their entire customer list and the number of user accounts, etc., with Clearview AI facial recognition service .
Microsoft hits the news headline for AI's fake image of Taylor Swift.
Another news hit the headlines that reported the faking of celebrity Taylor Swift with photorealistic graphical content on the Internet.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is reported to have commented on the incident as "alarming and terrible ," telling interviewer Lester Holt, "I think it behooves us to move fast on this ."
What are your comments about the AI and Deepfake vulnerabilities?
