Here is a pulse on the recession troughs, with enough data to uplift hopes that it will be followed by periods of growth and higher peaks for UX as an industry.

The malaise many have seen with the layoffs in the Tech world has not touched the UXers as much compared to the earlier slowdowns. UX has a stronger business case today, as compared to the earlier times when UX would be the first to be targeted.

The time of ‘Specialist Tech + Generalist Design’ has passed. Most enterprise leaders are looking for ‘Specialist Design’ in addition to ‘Specialist Tech’ to transform their digital journey. Enterprise leaders also expressed the need for a capable design leader who can partner with them to take their vision ahead.

Businesses focus on investing in a purposefully led design that generates positive impacts and is valuable long-term beyond the bottom line.
