Dedoco 2020 Debrief

2020 has been a rather interesting and as the year comes to a close I want to take a moment to look back at what we achieved with Dedoco.

Dedoco was incepted in March 2020 and within a month we were faced with an immediate Covid lockdown. It was very challenging for our small team that had little resources and no office, but we had a big vision. Vision that we can be blockchain document processor of the future. I believe that Dedoco is architected and designed to do exactly that while providing an easy to understand interface for our users.

The beginnings weren’t easy, but interestingly, this period gave us access to potential partners and investors (with everyone working from home). We hired team members whom we didn’t meet physically until months later, but it somehow brought us closer as a team when we do meet in real life.

Most of all, this period gave us time to think through, conceptualise and solution our product. I’m proud of the team and what we have achieved during this short 9 months. The team has grown and stepped up to meet my every expectation.

As the market evolved, our tech team had to react quickly to learn and implement many new tasks and processes. The product and user experience team also worked around the clock to design and plan both the product features and the user interface. The turnaround time these teams had been nothing but fantastic. Kudos to the business and sales team too for engaging with customers, getting them to believe in us and what we have to offer.

We are exiting 2020 with an amazing product with digital signing features. The recent “Sign with Singpass” integration was a big milestone for us this year. We were honoured to be given the opportunity to work with Singapore’s GovTech and Singpass. This partnership enhanced our offerings and also opened more doors for us. We also launched Dedoco Hired (employment verification on blockchain) during lockdown and we onboarded 96 employees and 11 companies to date!

We are now looking forward to what 2021 might bring as we scale our solution and incorporate more features. We are committed to delivering on our goals and I feel certain that the new year will only be more exciting with challenges and big opportunities waiting for us.
