Meals for Deals
Our Meals for Deals program provides life-giving meals for every payment plan, settlement, or balance in full, or “Deals,” that we set up on accounts placed with us by you and our other clients. These meals are provided through our partnership with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), and the Deals that DCRI sets up help to purchase life-giving meals for impoverished children around the world.
?Every month we provide hundreds of meals through our partnership with FMSC.
?To date, since our Meals for Deals program began, we have provided 13,722 meals!
?In 2017 alone, we provided 8,546 meals
Donation Drives
?For Thanksgiving of 2017, our employees donated 113lbs. of food through our Dedicated Food Drive. This food was given to the Roseville, MN food shelf, which is operated by Keystone Services, a local non-profit organization working to improve the quality of life for individuals, families, seniors and children.
?For Christmas of 2017, our employees donated $500 in toys through our Dedicated Toy Drive. These toys were given to the children at the St. Joseph’s Home for Children, which is a Catholic Charities Organization serving children and their families by addressing needs for shelter and stability and by offering long-term solutions to emotional and behavioral issues through high-quality mental health care. St. Joseph’s offers both emergency shelter and residential treatment, and serves up to 60 children at one time, ranging in age from 7 through 17.
Fundraising
?Through fundraising events hosted by Dedicated Commercial Recovery, we raised $5,600 for Su Casa, which is a women’s shelter in Long Beach, CA. Su Casa’s Mission is to empower individuals and families in order to live free from domestic abuse and to build partnerships with communities in order to end domestic violence.
?Dedicated Commercial Recovery has also raised over $3,400 for Children in Africa through Children International, which is a global nonprofit humanitarian organization that helps children break the cycle of poverty. Their goal is to help children overcome the effects of poverty, support their education, and prepare them to contribute to society.
Every quarter, we donate our time to organizations that serve the less fortunate. Below are some of the events that we have participated from among the four events that were held in 2017 and the 12 events that have been held to date.
Feed My Starving Children: Six packing events: We hand-packed rice, soy, dried vegetables, and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals in bags that were sealed, boxed, placed on pallets, and shipped through FMSC’s incredible partners who work hard every day to reach the neediest children around the world.
Habitat for Humanity: We have volunteered two times at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The ReStore is a home improvement outlet, open to the public, where people can shop for quality donated home furnishings, furniture, and building supplies at a fraction of their original cost. All revenue from ReStore sales supports Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s efforts to build, rehab and repair homes for hard-working, local families.
Loaves & Fishes: We have served three times with Loaves and Fishes, which is a nonprofit meal program that serves free, nutritious meals to those in need in seven Minnesota counties.
Cradle of Hope: In August of 2017, through Cradle of Hope, which is a non-profit charity that provides financial aid to women and babies in crisis, we prepared wellness baskets, filled with essential baby items, for new mothers so that they and their babies can feel loved and supported as they begin their new life together.
