Hugh McCreadie
Blinds and Curtains Consultant - helping property developers and their designers create market-leading spaces
It's been an incredibly busy year here at Decor Systems, we went live for the first time on Instagram, Twitter & LinkedIn, won the 2016 Blind of the Year and we'll be holding our first Christmas Jumper day this week!
We've worked on a huge number of projects this year, each and everyone unique and fascinating in its own right, but here are our personal favourite top 5 projects of the year!
1) Sheffield Children’s Hospital
It was an honour to be part of the £20 million redevelopment of specialist children’s hospital in Sheffield by Simons Construction. We supplied and installed motorised roller blinds and cubicle curtain tracks throughout using fabrics from the Mystique and Signature range in bright colours, to create a bright, fun environment for children!
2) Daylesford Farm Estate
New office suite on the Bamford family organic farm estate. A barn conversion project at this fabulous country estate on the edge of the Cotswolds. We installed their superlative Acovo roller blind system featuring whisper quiet motors and perfect alignment. Decor Verve fabric in a crisp white finish to complement the elegant blend of full height glass walls with heritage timber and stonework.
3) Clayton Hotel, Chiswick
Clayton Hotel based in Chiswick, West London, prides itself on its professional and contemporary style with top-end furnishings, not to mention the the first class service they provide to their guests. The sheer quality of this hotel made it pleasure to be part the fit-out, our blinds worked seamlessly with the rest of the interior and the over all high quality feel of the hotel. The finished project looks fantastic, and all parties involved were a pleasure to work with. Read more on this project here.
4) Four Seasons Ten Trinity Square
These ultra luxurious serviced apartments and hotel have been an incredible treat to work with! We are currently installing motorised roller blinds and automatic curtain tracks to these outstanding residences that feature fabulous views overlooking the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.
5) Arup, St Pauls Place
The global multi-disciplinary building design firm Arup took the top two floors of this ten storey office development and engaged Overbury to do the fit-out. This stunning fit out scheme featured our brand new AlignMatic? self aligning roller blind throughout. This was the perfect location to showcase this groundbreaking technology, that allows blinds through out the entire building to remain inline at all times, completing a beautiful facade both inside and outside the building. And that's just a snippet of our 2016 here at Decor Systems! What's been your favourite project of the year? Let us know in the comments, and from everyone here at Decor we wish you the very best beginning to 2017!
