These big companies intend to make you feel insecure. Like in perfume ads, till boys don't buy it they won't be able to attract women. The intent is to make you feel like you miss something that can make your life better. But the JOMO element is important because it will be everlasting and will render better results in terms of return. Products that claim fairer skin will be initially popular, but only the products that give nourishing and healthy skin will last because they don't play on our insecurities. When the intent is a JOMO composite, it enhances and changes the whole game.
Online countdown timers on websites or in marketing emails create a visual representation of limited time, intensifying the fear of missing out. They convey a sense of urgency, encouraging quick decision-making.
Companies create limited-time promotions or sales events, indicating that the offer is available for a short period. This creates a fear of missing out on the deal, prompting customers to purchase before the offer expires.

True that FOMO elements create an immediate audience because people are being implanted with insecurities and fears in their heads but they are not sustainable because as we age we know such superfluous and irrational fears don't matter.
