Decoding The Hidden Strengths of Your Senior Leadership Team
In March I travelled to Sweden to meet with two highly ambitious Tech/AI Founders who oversee a company generating approximately €10 million ARR, employing 50 staff members across two European countries.
With recent Series A funding, they are set to expand into the US and four other European countries. Both Founders are enthusiastic about the growth, but equally concerned about ensuring that the company culture and values they are proud of, are replicated in the new regions.
Now, this is no simple task, but from my experience, it becomes much more manageable with the right data at hand. By "data," I refer to psychometric assessments, which aid in understanding the cognitive abilities, personality traits, and behaviours of your current leadership team.
Those of us who have undergone these assessments before understand that they provide valuable insights into ourselves, our colleagues, and the overall leadership dynamics. They offer insights into why and how the team functions, or sometimes, why it doesn't function well.
As in the case with my Swedish clients, they are in the process of having the whole SLT assessed with psychometric testing BEFORE expanding into new regions to ensure everyone is culturally aligned.
There are many options when it comes to psychometric assessment companies, but the well-known companies like SHL and Hogan Associates are expensive for scaling businesses. Of course there are free online options which i would advise against, purely on the basis that if the company can offer reliable and valid test based on sound theoretical basis...why is it free?
Send me a DM and I will send you the names of great, affordable psychometric companies which are great for scaling tech companies.
