A marketing strategy is a long-term plan for achieving a company's goal and objective by analyzing the market, understanding the needs of customers, creating a distinct and sustainable competitive advantage and promoting the company’s brand.?

It encompasses everything from determining who your customers are to deciding what channels you use to reach those customers.

Marketing strategy is an overview of how’s company is going to present its value for clients, allocating resources in the most effective way on certain practices, increasing the number of sales, and achieving a competitive advantage in the market.

Defining a marketing strategy for your business, giving you guidance and helping you to position yourself in the marketplace, and analyzing your competitors' activities. Turning a potential client into a lifetime client by studying the behavior of company’s target audience.

A Marketing Strategy often includes major topics, such as:

  • Company Objective/Goal: a business goal is a target or achievement a company wants to accomplish either on short-term or long-term.
  • Market Analysis: detailed study of market behavior and dynamics on a special industry.
  • Competitor?Analysis: it's part of the market analysis in which you understand your competitors, their strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities (SWOT ANALYSIS)
  • Target Audience Analysis: to study your customer behavior, their needs. Analyze and gather useful demographic & psychographies data of your audience. Which is also part of market research and analysis.?
  • Branding Message: practices of which a company sets to determine their value proposition and the message they want to deliver to their clients, and using the right words and communication to potential customers and suppliers.
  • Product Mix/Services Portfolio: total number of products lines or services the company provides.?

Every marketing strategy needs a plan to execute it. A marketing plan is a set of platforms, methods and ways a company will use to execute the marketing strategy on its best way to reach the target audience, and to leverage a company’s sales.

Marketing Plan Vs. Marketing strategy

A marketing plan is a detailed blueprint that helps determine your target audience, the best way to reach them, and the price that they're willing to spend on that product or service.

For example, the reason why Disney has such broad reach across ages and demographics is because they create tailored i to their target audience that connect them with their characters, using different channels to market each one based on extensive audience research to find which channels each of their target demographics uses.

If you are planning to sell your product or service, you need to have a strategy, and a plan of which method you’re going to use to promote it and to whom.

Marketing mix is one of the marketing strategies (techniques) that organizations use to sell their products or to promote a service. The 4P’s (a set of first four letters) are referred to the marketing mix. Since the 4Ps were introduced in the 1950s, in order to successfully market a product or the service, including to whom to market it, quality of the product, what the customer needs and expects, where, and the price the customer is willing to pay.??
