MIT AI for Filmmaking Hackathon 2023 Brings Dreams to Life (MIT)?

What if you could rewatch your latest dream? The MIT AI for Filmmaking Hackathon, an event created by the MIT Film Makers Association, brought that dream to reality by challenging participants to create a two-minute film within eight hours, which was then judged on creative execution and effective use of AI techniques. Participants showcased the capabilities of using platforms like ChatGPT, DALL-E 2, Midjourney and Deforum to create their content. “AI algorithms enable more amateurs to express their ideas without professional training and lead to the de-privileging and popularizing of artistic creation,” said participant Liu Yang. “Focus more on creativity.
