Declutter your space and your mind will follow

Most of you know I own Camo Crew Responsible Junk Removal , where we help people clear out their homes and spaces. What started as a business focused on stuff—getting rid of what people call junk—quickly became something deeper. Over the years, I’ve realized decluttering isn’t only about the physical things we remove; it’s about the peace of mind we create.
When we clear a house or a garage, what we’re really doing is lifting a burden. People often tell me, “I feel lighter,” or “It’s like a weight off my shoulders.” It’s incredible to see the connection between clearing physical clutter and reducing mental stress.
But here’s the kicker: I wasn’t living by the advice I gave others.
This past year, I faced my own mountain of clutter. I had boxes in my garage and office that I’d moved from house to house for years without ever unpacking them. I had “junk drawers” dumped into bins, and those bins moved right along with me. My office—my so-called creative space—was packed with stuff I didn’t need. Every time I walked in, I felt like an imposter. Here I was, preaching the benefits of decluttering while living in chaos.
