The Decisions Are (Finally) In

Dear High School Class of 2020,

To the students that I had the privilege to work with this year, I wanted to communicate my admiration and respect for you as you navigated such challenging circumstances this spring, during which you made your final decision on the college you will be attending this fall. It took many of you much longer than usual to make a decision because of the impact COVID-19 had and will have on you, on your families, and on your college experience.

Every year, normally in May, I present a list of colleges to which my students have been admitted along with the final choice each student made. This year, it just wasn't possible for many students to make decisions by the traditional May 1st deadline. Kudos to those colleges who understood the unprecedented times we're living in, who allowed students to take their time in the selection process. Even now, I know many of you continue to feel unsettled; that makes perfect sense. I hope that you will make your health, both mental and physical, a top priority as you look toward the fall.

Congratulations to all of you for your incredible hard work and tenacity this year. Your families, friends, teachers, and I are so proud of you.

Below is an alphabetical list of schools to which the students I worked with this year were admitted. The number in parentheses is how many students were admitted to that school. Finally, at the bottom is a list that includes the final decision of each student along with the intended major.
