Decision Paralysis
We often come across situations where unable to make decisions for a while. It happened both in our professional and personal life. Frustration, Anger, Demotivation, Detachment, or Giving up if these emotions start coming to you, then this situation is called Decision Paralysis.
Life goes forward with decisions and not discussions. But it does not mean that we should not discuss it. So the dilemma arises where to draw the line? How to avoid getting into the zone of Decision Paralysis.?
From my experience of being into Decision Paralysis multiple times, either directly, indirectly or in parallel. I have realized a few of the conclusions.?
1- More than a discussion it’s important to have a conclusion at the end. These conclusions led to decisions.
2- Discussions are to explore different thoughts. So they need not be the same. Neither at the start nor at the end.
3- Priorities, Preferences, and Position leads thoughts hence they are supposed to be different with different people
4- There is no perfect solution as situations, requirements, improvements, preferences, priorities keeps changing so it’s important to fix the timeline to make and take decisions
Wisdom is the utilization of knowledge. And knowledge is gained?through information or experience. Experience is self realized, and information is what we can take from experience of others. So be wise to avoid get into a zone of DP.?

2 年Common phenomenon…happens with everyone. Right Decisions taken at the right time can save a lot of effort, frustration anger etc. Wrong decisions are a learning for the future. No decision is the worst scenario coz you are just sitting on the fence unable to decide which side to jump to ??
