#Decision - #Certain or #Uncertain

Over the years of my participation with businesses or the investment community at large, used to hear, take a decision that might affect the course of action for the organization.

Having said that, is decision making is a given set of factors one can look into and choose the menu tossed across the table? or does it involves other factors to take into consideration.

I used to share the Dias with C suite executives, who often come with strategy and its peripherals which runs into the day/s or week/s.

Aren't we forgetting the uncertain factors more often than the certain factors when taking any decisions on the table that charts the course of actions, in fact the directions of the organizations.

If the nuts and bolts of the decision are well considered, then how the uncertainties?are weighed, which by very nature is uncertain about the environment in which an organization is to operate.

Here comes the strategists, Do you agree on this silver lining very often quoted by C suites brains. Atleast I am not in agreement, with it to a certain extent. After all the strategy is the action packages of the implementation of decisions taken at the macro level. Not the decision as such.

Then who is responsible for the outcome of the decisions, not to mention the investors alone. It is the other stake holders who has their share of say or performance which is to be affected and benefited.

How the uncertainties will be mitigated, if not optimized to the benefits that is well anticipated across the organization.

A well informed and digressed information across all the verticals has to be considered, "what if" scenarios put in place to see how best we can take the alternate options and implementation strategy packages can be adopted to get the desired results, if not to meet the near expectations..

The decisions does not lie with the investors alone, it is with the team, let it be C suites, tactical or implemental stagers, to say, to deal with the uncertainties from bottom to top as a feeder continuously to take course corrections appropriate, rather than starring at the decisions in isolations alone siting on the table with one individual or set of individuals.
