Most of the working professionals once they attain maturity and sense of purpose, demonstrate unlimited desires to possess and control everything in this material world. However, in our deciphering life's little mysteries, all of us tend to forget that we have limited abilities to control the way we think, perform, respond to extreme situations and instead show different facets of our personality that may not have come to the fore till now. Moving through life's journey, we are tested by God and our hopes, aspirations ride the crests & troughs on the waves of extreme joy as well as tribulations.
We must remember that we have unlimited ability to control our consciousness. If we take complete shelter of God as our eternal lord and master, we will no longer be affected by the dualities of happiness and distress. We will find unlimited peace and happiness within our hearts in our loving relationship with Lord and His devotees. In this connection Lord Sri Krishna states in Bhagavad-Gita, 12.15 as follows: "He by whom no one is put into difficulty and who is not disturbed by anyone, who attains equipoise in happiness and distress, fear and anxiety, is very dear to Me."
The great Sage Ved Vyas explained in the Shreemad Bhagavatam that God can be loved in any of the four sentiments (bhavs): as a master (dasya bhav), as a friend (sakhya bhav), as a child (vatsalya bhav), or as a beloved (madhurya bhav). It is no secret that the gopis of Braj loved Sri Krishna as their beloved; He was their all-in-all. Every thought, word, and deed of theirs was with the sole aim of bringing happiness to Sri Krishna.
In this exalted state of consciousness, we will naturally become the well-wishers of all living beings always striving to serve their highest self-interest. Just as a tree that is full of fruit bows down for others to take the fruit, a loving being will always live in self-respect and treat others with respect.
Wishing all my LinkedIn connections all the very best in the coming New Year 2021. Hoping and praying that humanity comes together and strengthen our collective resolve to help those in need, donate generously when possible, spend time with loved ones & value healthy living as it is today.
