Decide Today...

Welcome to your next edition of this little weekly LinkedIn Newsletter -- "Focus. #deliver".

I've been using those "two words" now for over a decade (much to the dismay of Chris Brogan with his "three words" that are super successful for people - and actually he is just not a big fan of the word "Focus").

Focus. #deliver

I've created this weekly newsletter to help you do those two things, with the promise of increasing your productivity by doing less.

It's a little flag I've planted in the world.

This little flag, when planted, was a seed of an idea.

It continues to grow.

Have you planted your own flag?

The Problem:?I've got time

This week, imagine you and I are hanging out at breakfast together.

Decide where. And what are we eating?

ME: "Hey, how are you?"
YOU: "I am drifting a bit."

Maybe you've been working for the same company or organization for years (or decades) and seem to be on auto-pilot.

You may not even recognize it (wham -- here is a wakeup call or you may have gotten one recently in real life).

You are on auto-pilot.

The Actionable Tip: Plant Your Flag

If I were to ask you, "What is the ONE thing you are known for?"

What would your answer be?

Don't have one?

It's time to create one.

Yes.

You.

There are a lot of ways to do this. Need some help? Ping me here and let me know // we can have a conversation.

Why do you need one?

This can help you get off "auto-pilot" and stop the drifting.

Especially if it is really comfortable for you today.

Your Next Step...

Think about the problem I've described and my actionable tip above.

Here is the part where?I need YOU contribute YOUR actionable tip?for others who are reading this short article....

Please share ONE actionable tip in the comments below about how planting your flag has helped you. And as a bonus, let us know what it is.

We all are learning together and I appreciate it.

Thank you.

I have planted my flag as a connector. I am known in my town as a guy who knows everybody (far from the truth in a town of ~1MM...while perception is reality). This has helped me in immeasurable ways - ranging from being able to help many people to achieve their goals to achieving my own - being known as a connector is a wonderful life operating philosophy.
