2024 Digital Technology in the Not-for-Profit Sector Report

More than 1,000 people registered for the launch of this year's Digital Technology in the Not-for-Profit Sector Report where we were joined by Dr Andrew Leigh MP, Assistant Minister for Competition, Charities and Treasury; Sue Woodward AM, Commissioner, ACNC; David Crosbie, CEO, CCA; Doug Taylor, CEO, The Smith Family; Beth Worrall, Responsible AI Manager, National AI Centre; David Spriggs, CEO, Infoxchange and Sophie Souchon, Acting Lead, Digital Transformation Hub, Infoxchange.

The Connecting Up program hits $1B in IT cost savings!

The Connecting Up program, our digital technology marketplace and learning centre supporting NFPs through the use of donated and discounted technology, just hit a savings milestone for our members of $1 Billion!

This achievement reflects our commitment to empowering over 35,000 NFP members with access to technology to build stronger communities. With partnerships including Adobe, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Zoom and more, becoming a member of the platform can help you and your team work more efficiently, freeing up critical funds to accelerate your impact.

Our products and services are used by over 38,000 government and community services. We provide the right tools to improve efficiency and deliver greater impact, from nationwide service coordination and referral systems to IT support, advice, affordable technology products, cloud services, server infrastructure, upgrades and improvements, software and training that meets the needs of the NFP sector.

Microsoft Copilot NFP discount is here!

Exciting news! Microsoft has recently announced a 15% discount for eligible not-for-profit customers on Microsoft 365 Copilot. Contact us if you would like to discuss adding Copilot to your organisation. If you're a member of the Connecting Up program, you can request here.

APAC Digital Transformation Program 2.0 was announced

We launched the APAC Digital Transformation Program 2.0, a program accelerating digital capabilities across the Asia Pacific.

Congratulations to the 9 NFP organisations who have just been awarded as the grantee winners to pursue AI and innovative tech projects of the APAC Digital Transformation Program, with support from Google.org.

$1.5 million in funding will be provided to NFPs to empower them to harness innovative technology, such as AI, in pressing societal challenges across areas including education, environmental sustainability and financial inclusion. Grantees include:

  • ASEAN Foundation – will strengthen its ASEAN Digital Academy by integrating AI-driven chatbots, establishing a fact-checking community, and advancing cybersecurity training for communities across Southeast Asia
  • Clean Up Australia Ltd – using AI and machine learning for real-time feedback on litter collection and improving the accuracy of environmental data
  • Dharma Life Foundation – using AI to deliver personalised learning pathways and adaptive content, with a multilingual chatbot and auto-translation features to ensure wider accessibility
  • Edufarmers International Foundation?– using AI to capture real-time data and drive awareness and behavioural change to combat stunting
  • Netsafe New Zealand – will develop an AI-powered scam detection app, designed to protect users from fraudulent websites by recognising and verifying genuine brand URLs
  • Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation, Inc. – will focus on empowering female micro-entrepreneurs in underserved areas with an AI-driven mobile app to help manage their own businesses
  • Pratham Education Foundation – using AI and optical character recognition technology to create personalized learning assessments to enhance learning experiences for youth and women
  • Reef Check Malaysia – will focus on citizen scientists in coral reef monitoring by building a live interactive map, promoting community engagement and marine conservation
  • Solar Chapter Indonesia– developing WaterIQ, a predictive analytics tool using machine learning to monitor water access in rural areas and ensure sustainable resource management
