President's Message - The Last One!
My two-year term as the Board President for the Fort Worth Chapter of PMI is coming to an end this month. It has been a busy but rewarding two years!? Taking office at the tail-end of the pandemic was a little daunting and our board met the challenge – We grew our membership from around 1415 members at the beginning of 2023 to about 1675 members at the end of November 2024.? That is an 18% increase! We restarted in-person events and have been able to up our game in building networks and relationships.? We updated our Chapter Bylaws to add 3 more Vice President positions to get ready for more growth and programs for you, our members!??

Fort Worth PMI at Lone Star Elementary
Fort Worth PMI partnered with Lone Star Elementary School in Keller on November 22nd to provide specialized project management training for the campus' UCS leaders.
Lone Star Elementary is one of only 14 schools in Texas with the Special Olympics Unified Champion Banner School (UCS) designation and the only elementary school to hold that honor. Unified Champion Schools is?a program that promotes social inclusion of students with and without intellectual disabilities through sports, leadership, and engagement activities.?The program aims to create school climates where all students feel welcome, respected, and challenged.?

November & December Events Recap
November had many events, including our November Monthly Member Meeting featuring Jay Arbetter on Professional Networking. Our very own Julie Farmer, PMP wrote a great article detailing the event, which you can find here. We also hosted Rick Z. and Kristine Powell, MSN RN AGACNP-BC CEN TCRN NEA-BC FAEN for our Lunch & Learns, which are always a great treat for quick development during your lunch.
While our events have concluded for 2024, we cannot thank you enough for being a member of our chapter. You're what keeps it going! We look forward to our future together in 2025, where you can find more of these events below.
