December Newsletter 2022

Hello,

*** Subscribe for the full and nicely formatted version on my website ***

You might remember my newsletter this time last year, where I said I was a grinch. I am still a bit, but would you believe it, I am taken by our Christmas tree this year. I believe it is because we did the extension to the house and it feels like the tree has the right space now rather than being cramped into a space it didn't belong for the past few years.?

As one does, I reflect at the end of the year. My year had a rocky start but very quickly I was super busy with one contract as an interim CRO for a start-up. Building a sales, client success and marketing team. Also, I started my career as a headhunter, and I absolutely enjoy it.

Just as the year comes to an end, I found another passion, actually two to be precise:

One is coaching and running co-coaching workshops. Being able to help individuals and also groups of people to master their challenges is deeply satisfying; the other one, if you believe it or not, is revenue operations. I have done a couple of courses in it, including a revenue architecture course which makes me qualified I suppose. The satisfaction of understanding the sales cycle, but digging deep into the data to understand what needs improving, is a lot of fun.?

I guess all of what I do goes together under the 'sales umbrella'.

I then took on more advisory roles of which one is focused on jewellery for women at the age of 30-40:?Dévé?- a great story and maybe you find a last minute Christmas gift, who knows.

As you can see, there is never a dull moment. Our podcast is going from strength to strength and we enjoy the positive impact we have on middle aged men. As for 2023, I shall see what I will be doing. My focus will be on:

  • Sales Consulting?(lots going on)
  • Sales Headhunting?(we are already busy with lots of roles for January, hit me up!)
  • Sales Coaching and advisory….and I have more workshops coming up in the New Year on Mindfulness, Stress reduction and co-coaching?(very exciting)

With all that in mind, it’s time to rest up over the festive period.

I wish you all a Happy Christmas, a quiet, relaxing and mindful time with your family and friends. Stay warm, and enjoy the downtime, I personally think 2023 will be an amazing and big year!

Happy New Year, I see you on the other side,

Volker

Famous Quote I am thinking about:

"As we struggle with shopping lists and invitations, compounded by December’s bad weather, it is good to be reminded that there are people in our lives who are worth this aggravation, and people to whom we are worth the same."
