As 2023 comes to a close, we thought it would be interesting to reflect on the past year by taking a look at the major headlines from Network News each month of 2023. Here’s some of what we told you about each month, and one thing is clear – there’s a lot of good news surrounding U.S. Latinos.

  • Hispanic Wealth Surges: The Hispanic Wealth Project & NAHREP Celebrate Tripled Latino Prosperity at 2023 Wealth Symposium
  • Willy Chavarria received the menswear designer of the year award this month at the CFDA Fashion Awards.
  • Time Magazine names Sol Trujillo as one of eight U.S. Latino leaders who are reshaping our country.
  • Carlos Nazario has been named Style Director At Large for Harper's Bazaar with responsibility for styling most Bazaar covers.
  • Forbes Magazine crowns 29-year-old Bad Bunny as the “King of Pop”—a title historically associated with music legend Michael Jackson.
  • Major League Baseball names six Latinos for the 2023 Gold Glove Awards: Andrés Gímenez, Jose Berríos, Adolis García, Mauricio Dubón, Gabriel Moreno, and Fernando Tatis Jr.
  • Antonio Banderas received the 2023 President’s Award from the Latin Recording Academy
  • Karol G Makes History at the 2023 Latin Grammys with multiple awards including Album of the Year.


A Look Ahead...

Based on what we learned from those of you who joined us at L’ATTITUDE in Miami and responded to our survey, there’s more good news to come in 2024. Although our complete survey report has not been released, we thought the optimism we found you expressed is appropriate to share as a preview of what we are all hoping for, which is a Happy New Year.

· 54% of our business owners want to or are already hiring more employees

· 52% of our business professionals feel their career progression is promising

· 86% of our respondents are optimistic about their financial status and career status

· 80% are optimistic about the role of Latinos in America

· 83% of you are optimistic about your personal role in the New Mainstream Economy
