ConCOVE Tūhura
The next generation of construction and infrastructure vocational education
Kia ora,
Season’s greetings to ConCOVEs industries, stakeholders, partners, project initiators and collaborators. As the year draws to a close we’ve reflected on the progress ConCOVE Tūhura has made and I hope you enjoy the data points in this issue that tell the story of our 2023! ?
In mid-November the ConCOVE Tūhura team came together for our final planning and reflection of the year. We looked at our activity and new projects landing via the Project Fund. This amounts to over 40 projects in various stages of development, in progress and completed, with more in the pipeline. We’re proud of what we’re achieving and are looking forward to embedding recommendations in the wider sector in the near future. ??
We acknowledge 2023 has been a challenging year for many across construction and infrastructure and vocational education. From Cyclone Gabrielle’s impact to new Government priorities. ConCOVE operates at the nexus of the ecosystem and our role is to work independently, while focussing on future need - a role we take very seriously.?
We will close on Friday 22 December and return on Wednesday 3 January, 2024. The start of the year will bring more communications around our completed projects and where actors in the vocational education and training system can participate and embed our learnings. ?
The team and I have enjoyed working with you this year and wish you a safe and happy holiday. We will see you in 2024 for more innovation and growth in Aotearoa’s vocational education and training and construction and infrastructure sectors. ?
Here's to a year of growth, resilience, and impactful outcomes.
Ngā mihi,
Katherine Hall
Executive Director
