How are you doing this December?
In the UK we finally had some colder spells, unfortunately some wetter spells too, but then also snowy spells further North. Isn't that what is suppose to happen? Oh the weather ??
I was a lot busier than I thought, and that included a podcast I was featured in:
- The podcast (video) was about coaching and psychotherapy (as a trainee), and it was on John-Paul's Therapy Podcast. Audio version here .
And whilst we are on the topic of podcasting, we managed to host a live event of our Man Up / Man Down Podcast in Brighton with about 25 people at the end of November, talking about men, and their mid-life transition. The first episode was released last week, the other one coming this week.
As an update, and you might have seen it on LinkedIn, for 2024 I will put more emphasis on my personal coaching business. Interest has gone up recently, and I figured I wanted to give more middle aged men the chance to be coached by me. It will run alongside my B2B focused business for sales consulting and coaching - so nothing is changing there.
As a thank you, I offer any middle aged man (or woman) who joins my coaching programme before the end of the year, a 33% discount. Just quote NLDEC23 when emailing [email protected] - feel free to share this with your friends too. Or book some time here .
A new website is coming but the basic package is 4x60 minutes coaching sessions per month, unlimited email/Whats App support and 3 months costs you only £2,000 instead of the regular £3,000.
Bespoke packages available, just reach out to me!
I only sell 5 of those packages, so hurry while this offer lasts.
As always, I like to reflect on the year when it comes to Christmas. 2023 has been tough one, and only picked up towards the end of the year. That's true for me and most interim/ fractional/ consultants/ solopreneurs, and most businesses I know. Hence, I am hopeful 2024 will be a lot better, and I am looking forward to it.
There are a few things brewing which, if they come off, will change trajectory and accelerate a few things. I am excited about that, and embrace the opportunities coming my way. What I learned this year is that you have to keep ploughing away, kiss a lot of frogs and hustle. I have done that and it has been fun, yet tiring.
Studying for my course, having two growing kids, and the usual things we all do alongside work, has been challenging at times. Without support from my family, particularly my wife, and good friends, I could not have done it. I am grateful, humbled and very conscious about this, and feel content about life. Sometimes this is all that matters.
Thank you.
But that's who I am: I like to hustle, keep going and be on the treadmill. Coming off it feels weird, but hopefully between Christmas and New Year I will have some downtime too.
I hope you do as well.?

Have a lovely Christmas time, whether you celebrate it or not, and enjoy the time to reflect and to plan for 2024. Spend time with your loved ones. Give them an extra hug this year. And a Happy New Year.
You've got this, and if not, hit me up for the coaching offer or just a chat. I am always open to talk and exchange some ideas, helping where I can.
Best wishes,
Volker

We published our live episode and an episode with Andy who went through Prostate Cancer treatment whilst training for his 250K ultra marathon. An inspiring story.
