December Edition
Welcome back to our monthly newsletter, Electrification Connect, which is designed for the entire community.?
As we conclude 2023 and enter the new year, we are delighted to unveil some exciting updates for the electrification community and share news about the ERS Hub. ???
Electrification requires a broad and evolving set of skills and competencies that can be challenging for individuals and organisations, causing a skill gap. ? ?
Mitigating the skills gap by shifting from traditional change management to positive upskilling and applying innovative technologies is at the forefront of the ERS Hub's initiatives to pave the path for future workforces.??
Through skill-building and knowledge-sharing, we aim to actively shape the future of electrification by connecting, nurturing and collaborating, enabling individuals and businesses to flourish.?? ?
We've had the opportunity to share the ERS Hub at career fairs, networking events and industry gatherings such as Engage with Live... 2023 hosted by?Innovate UK and the London EV Show. ? ?
Attendees at Engage with...LIVE! 2023 witnessed the debut of the new capability Self-Assessment Tool designed by the?ERS Hub. This tool allows individuals to evaluate their understanding of critical areas of electrification, empowering them to make informed career and personal development decisions.???
?On 7 February 2024, we are hosting a virtual session to demonstrate the newly unveiled Skills Assessment Tool and share discussions about how it integrates with the ERS Hub and future Hub developments, such as integration with the Body of Knowledge. Please feel free to reserve your spot here. ? ?
At the London EV show, we showcased the Hub alongside 300+ accomplished exhibitors, highlighting their transformative products, ideas and services that will shape future generations.??? ?
The skills gap in our sector can be addressed by bringing awareness to youth and helping empower our future workforce at an early age. The ERS Hub team has donated 2 Curiosity Boxes to primary schools in the UK this month.??? ?
We're honoured to take this significant step in building bridges between academia and industry by providing a centralised platform for skills development, collaboration and innovation.?? ?
We look forward to continuing to inspire impactful partnerships as we connect talent and remove barriers to ensuring we cultivate highly skilled workforces in electrification.??
Wishing you and your family a joyous festive season filled with happiness and warmth. May it be a time of celebration and togetherness for the entire electrification community.?
Warmest regards,?
