December Disappointment

Well, my year usually starts in 3-phases. The first being reflection, followed by refinement then realignment.

There's something about today's announcement that made me think about the past few Decembers that I've lived through thus far...

More about the announcement a little later, let's finish with this December thing first before getting into the fun stuff.

The festive season can be a time of extreme joy or sadness. For many, this time is a time to party it up and have a blast but for others, it turns out to be a time of sadness and disappointment. 

Enter December Disappointment

When you come to the end of yet another year and nothing has changed... you're in the same job, your business hasn't taken off and you're in the same place doing the same thing with the same people... 

You look at your life and feel a sense of sadness and disappointment. Mostly disappointment in yourself for doing nothing to change your situation. We often want to blame other people for the troubles in our lives, but when it comes to lack of action, the blame lies squarely on us.

I know the feeling all too well

There is nothing that I hate more than being broke in December... OH MY GOODNESS it's painful! For 3 years, come December time, I was broke as a joke.

Year in and year out, I came to the end of yet another year and NOTHING had changed. All my clients were succeeding but I was still in the same place, doing the same thing, with the same people because I just couldn't afford to do anything else...

I knew what I wanted, I wanted to be in control of my life, my money and my time. I couldn't carry on like this!

Something had to change and that change had to start with me

The next year I put my knowledge and my talents to good use. In June that year, I sat down in front of my laptop and started my business.

Within 2 hours, I had my business website and I was ready to make sales. I got my first product in my hands and from the day I shared my business with my following things changed. 

Because I took action, I changed my situation and my Decembers will never be the same. I no longer have to be a victim to December Disappointment because I finally did something about my dreams.

Many of you have told me about your desires to take charge of your lives, build your own businesses and live your life on your terms! So what's stopping you? Time? Money? Fear? 

Well, let me offer you this... You make time for the things that are important to you, you don't need money to start that business and you can't let fear stop you from achieving your goals.
