December 27 the day, bright lamp was lit.

The tragic martyrdom of Shaheed Bibi is a major tragedy and irreparable loss in the history of Pakistan. Which cannot be remedied. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto used to call the martyred people as the source of power and Ms. Shaheed Bibi used to live for the poor people of Pakistan, the people of Pakistan made Pakistan proud all over the world by electing her as the first Prime Minister of the Muslim world and Pakistan. Benazir Bhutto Shaheed was a bright democratic face of Pakistan, called the chain of the four provinces, Benazir was equally popular in every part of the country. She was against political conflict, she did politics of reconciliation and as a result of her conciliatory thinking, the democratic journey is going on in Pakistan today, she made serious efforts to solve the problems faced by the people, she was a champion of high moral values in the field of politics, she defeated the negative forces against herself and the country with her positive attitude and thinking. No one will be able to make up for the lack. Bibi Shaheed's biggest wish was to eradicate poverty and poverty from Pakistan, for which he designed many programs, one of which is the Benazir Income Support Program, which is still going on, which is benefiting millions of people of this country. The tragedy of Benazir Bhutto's departure from this world is not only a loss to Pakistan but a global loss. Shaheed Bibi fought for the oppressed classes; her martyrdom also hurt the most oppressed classes. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto proved herself to be a great leader as well as Benazir's daughter, respectable mother, capable sister and excellent human being. The brave and Benazir daughter of the great father sacrificed her life to fulfill her father's mission but did not bargain with the dictator of the time. December 27 will be remembered as a dark chapter in the history of Pakistan, on that day, peace, patience, tolerance, enemies of the country and the people committed terrorism and martyred a highly educated and bright vision, Benazir Bhutto. The killers were not only cruel people, but they were also enemies of Pakistan's development and peace. The martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto was terrorism which imposed darkness on this country. Seventeen years have passed since the martyrdom of Bibi Benazir, but the mystery of her murder has not been solved till date, nor has her murder been investigated in such a way that the motives and facilitators of the murder are revealed. The author belongs to the long-time companions of Bibi Shaheed, if you look at Bibi shaheed's expertise and vision in national and international relations and political affairs, then the leader of her stature could not come forward after her.

We are also witness to the fact that during the life of Benazir Shaheed, party workers and voters had a direct connection with her. This can be expressed by the devotion of the workers who came to his shrine on his death anniversary, how party workers and fans of Bibi Shaheed from all over the country reach Larkana in convoys to visit her shrine. The focus of Bibi Shaheed's struggle was to eradicate poverty and poverty from Pakistan and make the country a cradle of peace and development. The international community, especially in the United States, Europe, and the West, in their reports acknowledge Ms. Shaheed's contribution to democratic values, human rights and the stability of the economy. Establishment of First Women Bank and Women Police Station, establishment of Women Study Centers in five higher educational institutions in Karachi, Quetta, Lahore, Peshawar and Islamabad, five percent quota for women in government jobs, Lady Health Workers Program, establishment of federal ministry for women's development, establishment of lady computer centers and issuance of loans for women.

Last 18 hours of Benazir Bhutto's life

On the night of December 26, 2007, when Benazir Bhutto reached Zardari House in Islamabad after a long drive, she was very tired, but the message of ISI chief Major General Nadeem Taj reached her that he wanted to meet her for an important task. Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto decided that she would sleep for two hours and meet Nadeem Taj late at night. The meeting took place at 1.30 am and was attended by Benazir and her security adviser Rehman Malik. Nadeem Taj told him that someone would try to kill him that day. ISI chief Major General Nadeem Taj was so sure of his sources that he himself reached Benazir's Islamabad residence late at night.

Former BBC correspondent in Islamabad Owen Bennett Jones writes in his book The Bhutto Dynasty the Struggle for Power in Pakistan: "On hearing this, Benazir doubted whether Nadeem Taj was pressuring her to cancel his program. "If you know about these suicide bombers, why don't you arrest them? Taj replied, "It is impossible because it will reveal the secret of their resources." '

On this, Benazir said that you increase my security. You ensure the safety of not only me but also my people. The ISI chief had promised that he would use all his might for it. '

Preparations for Benazir's murder

When Benazir was meeting General Taj, her killers were making final preparations to kill her. Bennett Jones writes: "After midnight, Taliban handler Nasrullah had arrived in Rawalpindi with two 15-year-old children Bilal and Ikramullah. Meanwhile, two other Taliban members, Hasnain Gul and Rafaqat Hussain, visited Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi, where Benazir Bhutto was scheduled to address a public meeting in the evening. At that time, the police were installing metal detectors at all three gates of the park. But it didn't matter as the plan was that Benazir would be attacked when she was on her way back from the rally. '

The two men returned completely satisfied and gave Bilal a pistol with some cartridges and a hand grenade to Ikramullah. Hasnain advised Bilal to wear something else instead of trainer's shoes as the forces are taught that jihadi trainers wear shoes, and they can catch them. Bilal wore slippers instead of shoes after advice. 'After offering namaz, Hasnain took Bilal to the gate which he thought Benazir was going to use.

Meeting With Hamid Karzai Before Going To Liaquat Bagh

Heraldo Minoz, the head of the UNITED NATIONS Commission of Inquiry to investigate Benazir Bhutto's assassination and later author of the book 'Getting Away with Murder', writes: "On the morning of December 27, Benazir woke up at 8:30 a.m. At nine o'clock they had breakfast. Two-and-a-half hours later, she went to meet Afghan President Hamid Karzai along with Amin Fahim and a former PPP senator. Karzai was staying on the fourth floor of the Serena Hotel in Islamabad. At one o'clock she returned to Zardari House. He had dinner and finalized the speech to be delivered in Liaquat Bagh with his colleagues in the evening. '

In the afternoon, Benazir left for Liaquat Bagh in a convoy of vehicles. At the forefront of the convoy was Tauqeer Kaira, the head of security of the PPP in the Toyota Land Cruiser. Just behind them was Benazir's white Land Cruiser, and two other Kaira vehicles were plying on either side. Behind these vehicles were two Toyota Vigo pickup trucks of Zardari House. Behind them was the black Mercedes-Benz of Zardari House, which was bulletproof, and Benazir could use it as a backup vehicle if needed.

Benazir's driver Javed-ur-Rehman and senior superintendent of police Major Imtiaz Hussain were sitting on the front seat of Benazir's car. Senior PPP leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim was seated on the middle seat, Benazir in the middle and Naheed Khan, political secretary of Benazir, on the right.

Security regulations were ignored

At 2.15 pm, Benazir's convoy reached Faizabad Junction from where the responsibility of her security fell on the Rawalpindi District Police. At 2.56 pm, Benazir's convoy took a right turn at Murree Road-Liaquat Road turn and started moving towards the VIP parking area of Liaquat Bagh. At the same time, Benazir stood up and her face appeared from the roof of her Land Cruiser. She was waving at the people and accepting their greetings, and her car was moving slowly on Liaquat Road. The people guarding Benazir did not stop her even once that standing like this is not without danger.

Heraldo Minoz writes in his book: "At 3:16 pm, Benazir's convoy had to stop at the gate inside the parking area for five to six minutes because the police did not have the key to open the gate. Meanwhile, Benazir stood completely unprotected in her car and her face was visible outside the skip hatch. '

Three bullets in a second.

Benazir then spoke for half an hour in front of about 10,000 people. During this time he mentioned his father's name 17 times. As soon as the speech ended, the entire area reverberated with slogans of 'Benazir Zindabad' and 'Benazir Prime Minister'. After the speech, Benazir sat in her car. His car stopped for a long time as his supporters surrounded him. Seeing the crowd, Benazir stood up and her head and shoulders were visible from their emergency hatch. It was 5:10 p.m. at that time.

Owen Bennett Jones writes: "Bilal, who had been waiting since morning, felt that his time had come. He first went in front of Benazir's car and then reached next to her where there were fewer people. He pulled out his pistol and hit Benazir's head. A security guard tried to stop Bilal. Since he was a short distance away he could only touch her arm. Bilal fired three shots in less than a second. As soon as the third bullet was fired, Benazir fell on the seat of her car like a stone under the skip hatch. As soon as they fell down, Bilal also detonated a suicide bomb. '

While Heraldo Minoz writes: "Naheed Khan, who was sitting on Benazir's right, told me that as soon as she heard three gunshots, Benazir fell down and the right side of her head fell on her lap. His head and ears were bleeding rapidly and his blood made all my clothes dry. Makhdoom Amin Fahim, who was sitting on Benazir's left side, said that when Benazir fell, there was no sign of life in her body. No one else was seriously injured in his car. '

All four tires of the car exploded.

Not a single ambulance was available there. All four tyres of Benazir's car exploded due to the bomb blast. The driver drove the car on an iron rim and took it to Rawalpindi General Hospital.

After walking 300 meters on Liaquat Road, he turned the car to the left in the same condition. The car continued for a few kilometers in the same condition. At one point, when the Land Cruiser wanted to take a U-turn, it stopped and could not move forward. Two commando vehicles at the scene tried to follow Benazir's vehicle but could not move forward due to the bodies ahead and the injured. Naheed Khan told Owen Bennett Jones: "We had no choice but to take Benazir to the hospital in a taxi, the police did not know anything. We were waiting for a taxi when a jeep stopped in two or three minutes. We took Benazir to the hospital in this jeep. The jeep belonged to Benazir's spokesperson Shireen Rehman. Records show they all arrived at the hospital 34 minutes after the attack.

A tube was inserted around Benazir's neck.

Soon after reaching the hospital, Benazir was taken inside the parking area on a stretcher. She had neither a pulse nor was she breathing. Their eyeballs stayed in one place and there was no movement in them even by the light of the torch. His head was bleeding continuously, and a white substance came out of there. Despite the full evidence of death, Dr. Saeeda Yasmin tried her best to save him. Soon, Dr Aurangzeb Khan also came to his aid. Within a minute, a tube was inserted around his neck.

At 5:50 pm, professor Mosaddeq Khan, a senior physician of the hospital, reached there and took charge. Benazir's nose and ears were bleeding. Fifty minutes after the attack, a few minutes before six o'clock, the doctors took him to the operation theatre. Professor Mosaddeq Khan licked his chest and started massaging his heart with his own hands. But there was no movement in them. Benazir was declared dead at 6.16 pm.

Benazir's dupatta yet to be traced

All the men were asked to leave the operation theatre. Dr Qudsia Anjum Qureshi and nurses cleaned his body and bandaged his head injury. Their blood-soaked clothes were removed and they were put on hospital clothes. Doctors said that when Benazir reached the hospital, there was no scarf on her body. It is not yet known where the dupatta went. The cause of death column in his death certificate number 202877 reads, "We will know after the post-mortem. ' Dr Mosaddeq Khan asked police chief Saud Aziz for permission to conduct the post-mortem three times, but he did not allow it three times.

He later defended the decision, saying he had not received permission from Benazir's family. When Benazir's death was announced outside the hospital, a sigh came out of the mouth of the crowd standing there. He was also shocked and saddened that another Bhutto had embraced a violent death. Benazir's father Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was hanged by the military government. One of his brothers, Shahnawaz, died due to poisoning and another brother Murtaza died of bullet injuries. At 10.35 pm, Benazir's body was kept in a wooden coffin and taken to the nearby Chaklala airbase. At 1 am on December 28, her body was handed over to her husband Asif Ali Zardari, who arrived there from Dubai a few minutes ago. When Zardari arrived in Pakistan, he was also asked for permission to conduct a post-mortem of Benazir's body, but he did not allow it.

Benazir Bhutto was laid to rest at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh in Larkana on December 28, 2007.

Did Benazir have any idea of her death?

Before returning to Pakistan, she was on her way to Aspen in Colorado, USA. Us Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad and his wife accompanied her on board. The host of the plane offered Benazir fresh cookies straight out of the oven. Benazir politely refused saying that she is losing weight these days. But within a second, he called the air hostess back and said let's go. What difference does it make? I have to die in a few months.

It is a testimony to his abilities. As an activist, I think that if we seem to be developing consciously today, it is the struggle of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Bibi Shaheed, which introduced the concept of their rights in the minds of the people of this country. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed has the honor of making the people the source of power and giving the country a unified constitution, while Benazir Bhutto's relentless struggle for the supremacy and stability of parliament and democracy does not need any praise. The focus of her political struggle was based on a policy of restraint, peace and tolerance. He bravely fought against unfavorable conditions but never thought of harming the state and state institutions. With the martyrdom of Bibi, the fate of Pakistan and the People of Pakistan was blackened, whose evil has not been eradicated till date. Today is a day to remember the eternal sacrifices of Bibi Shaheed as well as the pledge that all the workers of Pakistan People's Party should take forward their vision and fight to make Bilawal Bhutto the next Prime Minister so that the soul of Bibi Shaheed can be happy.

Even after 17 years, the question remains, who killed Benazir Bhutto?

For the last 17 years, there has been no answer to the question of who killed Benazir Bhutto. After the martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto in a tragic incident, the search for justice is still going on as the court has already acquitted five people involved in the case. Among them, Aitzaz Shah, Sher Zaman, Abdul Rashid, Rafaqat and Hasnain were associated with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). It was formed on December 27, 2007, just 12 days before the assassination of Benazir Bhutto under the leadership of Baitullah Mehsud. Law enforcement agencies arrested the five suspects, and it was claimed that concrete evidence was available against them regarding the high-profile murder.

However, on December 15, the court acquitted him citing insufficient evidence and questioning the credibility of the judicial process of investigating the case.

Pakistan's first female prime minister and famous political figure Benazir Bhutto was killed in a pistol and suicide bomb attack in Rawalpindi's Liaquat Bagh soon after addressing a big election rally. His martyrdom shocked the nation and the world, and the incident sparked widespread calls for accountability.

Failure to identify and take action against the real perpetrators, conspirators and planners of Benazir Bhutto's assassination has paved the way for continued criticism of Pakistan's intelligence and investigative agencies.

Despite initial allegations and subsequent investigations linking the TTP to the attack, no final result has been reached. The acquittal of these five men highlights the gaps in the case and highlights the challenges of bringing those responsible to justice. For many, it is a painful memory of Benazir Bhutto's assassination, and many questions roam in the minds of the people, which have not yet been answered. It has been 17 years since Benazir's assassination.

His martyrdom at an election rally caused widespread outrage as well as frustrating the nation. After the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, the circumstances and events became controversial, important evidence was allegedly distorted, which raised questions about the credibility of the investigation. Important forensic evidence was erased, the scene was washed away in haste, while significant changes in the local bureaucracy also raised doubts.

At that time, a press conference by the Interior Ministry described the incident as a terrorist attack, in which phone calls and sketches of alleged criminals associated with the TTP were presented. However, these claims failed to convince many, including Benazir's PPP, and demands for a free and transparent investigation emerged.

Islamabad: The Asif Ali Zardari-led Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has rejected an investigation initiated by then military ruler General Pervez Musharraf from Scotland Yard and accused him of involvement in the murder.

Several calls for an independent inquiry under the United Nations led to the creation of a UN fact-finding mission in 2009 that conducted extensive interviews and investigations. Yet, the mission's report was criticized for being inconclusive and vague, fueling further suspicion.

The plot was further fueled when Musharraf later admitted that intelligence agencies had concerns about Benazir Bhutto's life being in danger.

He revealed that the then ISI chief General Nadeem Taj had met Benazir Bhutto on December 26, 2007, and warned her not to address the Liaquat Bagh rally.

Despite these warnings, Benazir Bhutto addressed the rally, and the decision ultimately took her life. Over the years, several conspiracy theories have been circulating, including that of various individuals, but no conclusive evidence has emerged to identify the culprits.

The PPP, which was in power from 2008 to 2013, did its best to expose the truth. As the country celebrates the 17th anniversary of Benazir Bhutto's assassination, her death remains a big mystery. His party is demanding justice and the people want answers to the questions, but despite all this, the details of Benazir Bhutto's death are unclear.

"Not only the PPP, but the entire country was in a state of shock over the martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto, but the impression that the party government did not do what was expected to track down the killers of Bibi. It was possible for them to conduct investigations by national intelligence agencies, including the UN Commission and Scotland Yard, and get results.
