Empowering brands to win through positive and Responsible Creative?
Welcome to our December edition of Onlii Spotlight!??
As we look back on this year at The Onlii, we wanted to share how grateful we feel for the community, collaboration and creativity that seem to have really defined 2024. Together, we’ve navigated challenges, celebrated our shared wins and pushed the boundaries too -- so we can create an impact that has real meaning.
To our amazing team, dedicated collaborators and all those who have supported and inspired us this past year: we want to say thank you. We couldn’t have achieved all that we have this year without you!??
We can’t wait to build on this momentum in 2025. But before we do, we wanted to give some page space to some great creative as of late, and a few highlights of the year.
Our fave collab of the year.?LUSH x Minecraft?
There have been a tonne of unexpected and interesting brand collaborations this year, but the search for a big viral moment is starting to feel a little tired. The LUSH x Minecraft collab was one we really loved and wanted to share in our last newsletter of 2024. ? ?
In celebration of Minecraft’s 15-year anniversary, 12 handmade products inspired by the game were introduced to LUST stores; while players could craft and use their free virtual bath bombs in the virtual world of Minecraft too. The exclusive collection appealed to both sets of fans, bringing the cute 8-bit blocks into moments of indulgence and self-care.? ?
Connecting Christmas with impact.?
Creative campaigns work hard to tap into the range of feels many of us get this time of year; from sentimental moments to joyful ones. The highs, lows and everything in between. ? ?
It’s been great to see the brands who are using it to make a positive impact over the past few weeks --?and O2 (Telefónica UK) is the perfect example. Teaming up with digital inclusion charity Good Things Foundation , O2 are addressing a sad truth: 2 million homes in the UK can’t connect with their loved ones due to data poverty. Working with the National Databank, O2 are donating free data with all packages purchased this winter. They’re also encouraging customers to send a ‘Christmas Sim card’ to give as many people as possible the ability to connect. ? ?
The website for data application has also been zero-rated, meaning that those without data can easily access the support needed -- a heartfelt touch designed by the digital experience team at VCCP.? ?

Milestones in the movement in 2024? ?
This year has been an incredible one for the ethical and sustainable sectors, with a few key milestones driving the momentum.? ?
In 2024, we’ve seen the expansion of the Creative B Corp (B Lab UK) and Ethical Agency Alliance Communities, both of which continue to lead the charge towards a more sustainable and ethical future. Many of these new members are already making waves in their respective industries, helping to speed up the shift towards more responsible business practices. ? ?
There was a growing number of B Corps in various sectors:? ?
Among the newest UK B Corps, we’re excited to welcome a range of creative agencies, including Blush Design Agency, NU Creative | Certified B-Corporation , Positive Experience | B Corp Certified , Just Enough Brave , Clever Ghost | B Corp? , Fiasco Design , Orangery? | B Corp? , and Buff Motion .
The Ethical Agency Alliance made some amazing strides this year, scaling its network to 20 agencies across 7 countries and aligning itself with the Race to Zero campaign. This commitment highlights the collective drive to reduce emissions and push for climate action within the creative and advertising industries. Members such asIf Not Now, Hey Honey, Living Air, KNO | Korrektur NachOben , BAD STAR Studios | B Corp certified, and Lucky Generals are leading by example, proving that ethical business is not just possible, but profitable.?
The Creatives for Climate Collective also hit some significant milestones this year, with over 5,300 creative professionals from more than 90 countries joining forces to align their portfolios with a 1.5-degree future. Also, over 600 creatives took part in in-person meetups held across 10 global cities, fostering collaboration and community-building among those dedicated to using their creative skills to drive climate action.?
This collective energy is reshaping how industries approach environmental and social challenges, driving an ethical revolution from within.? ?
Hello, 2025? A message from Rob? ?
Hey all,? ?
It’s the end of another busy year, and I wanted to share quick note about how grateful we were all to have you part of it. For us at The Onlii, 2025 is an opportunity to build on some of what we achieved last year; always innovating and adapting to champion more ethical ways of doing things. ? ?
Thinking back on the lessons learned in 2024, we’ve already started to put steps in place to bring our vision for the new year to life. We want to continue to foster partnerships, create new connections and expand our community; while always building on our learnings as we share knowledge. ? ?
To our members, clients and everyone who made this year so special: a big thank you. Always. Together, we’re showing how powerful responsible creative can be, and the role it can play in shaping a better future for us all.? ?
See you in 2025,? ?
