Welcome to the final 2023 recap for the British Engines Group! It's been a great year for us, let's take a look at what happened in December.
Celebrating the Season in Style
We kicked off the Christmas season in style at the British Engines Group Fire and Ice Christmas Party! Over 500 employees from across our eight businesses came together to eat, drink and dance the night away, with a special performance from local band, The Arrival.

22 Apprentice Opportunities Available!
Applications for our Apprenticeship Scheme opened early inline with the nationwide initiative led by the Education Secretary and UCAS to promote apprenticeships alongside degrees.
We have 22 new apprenticeship opportunities ranging from manufacturing, assembly, maintenance and design, to business administration.

Former Apprentice, Dylan Matthews, at group company CMP, said: “British Engines really do invest in their apprentices and give every opportunity possible for us to progress and grow. Even now, after I have finished my apprenticeship, they have invested into my HNC which shows me that the company is investing into my future”.

Enhancing Workplace Safety at the British Engines Group
Ten employees from across the British Engines Group have officially passed their NEBOSH National Certificate.
The NEBOSH National General Certificate is a globally recognised qualification in occupational health and safety management designed to give delegates a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of safety in the workplace.
In 2023, the British Engines Group became the first employer in the region to be fully accredited to deliver NEBOSH internal training , producing our first fully accredited employees from the scheme.
Beyond the Classroom: Thriving as a CNC Machinist at Michell Bearings
Meet Matthew, a former Mechanical Engineering Apprentice who has worked at British Engines Group company, Michell Bearings, for over six years!
Currently working towards an HND in General Engineering, he shares highlights from his apprenticeship and tells us about his aspiration to complete an engineering degree.
