Dear Lean, As the year draws to a close the team at LEA wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous 2024.?

As part of your lean activities in 2024, don't forget to use our?Learning Platform to advance your lean knowledge.?Remember we are creating learning process for you to become self-reliant in lean thinking and practice:

• Lean community customers told us they wanted high quality materials they could use to teach & coach lean thinking and practice.
• We saw?an opportunity to free up people's time. If they had access to the fundamental materials they could spend their time teaching and coaching rather than developing the materials themselves.
• We felt we needed to create learning materials that could act as our standard?- the best way we knew how to develop the capability of?team members and develop?leaders as teachers.
• We wanted learning materials to be provided in as lean a way as possible:?Quality materials, accessed at the right place, at the right time, in the right amount - all at the pull of the customer at a low cost.

We have moved beyond the fundamentals that we created in 2021 and 2022. This year we focussed on the Lean Transformation Framework. Really trying to link?together elements that create a successful transformation. In addition we've developed more materials on lean management systems, as well as?core leadership skills for lean.

By subscribing and using the platform you are helping us create a virtuous circle of creating new materials and applying continuous improvements to existing materials. Please do take a look at the platform during some quiet time over this holiday! It just remains for me, on behalf of the team at LEA, to wish you all the best for a peaceful Christmas and continuous improvement for 2024. We hope you will be able to join us for the Lean Summit again in Liverpool, in April.

What's on at the UK Lean Summit 2024?

The in-person UK Lean Summit returns to Liverpool on Tuesday the 23rd and Wednesday 24th April 2024. In our latest blog post David Brunt explores what's in store for the 2024 event, including?Capability Development Workshops?on Monday 22nd April and?Toyota Plant Visits on Thursday 25th April. Our early bird ticket prices will be available until the end of January for ￡960.00+VAT (the same price as our last Summit in 2018!).

Christmas & New Year?Opening?Times

LEA will be?officially closed?from?December 22nd to January 2nd. During this period, we will be responding to emails, except on December 25th, 26th, and January 1st. Please note that the?last orders?for materials in our shop were processed on?December 13th.
