# Decathlon Alexanderplatz Berlin
Starting a new chapter often means facing the challenge of finding a job. After moving to Germany, I embarked on this journey, sending out countless applications, each one a hope for a fresh start. Then, one day, my phone rang. It was Thomas from Decathlon, speaking quickly in German. Nervous, I admitted I didn’t understand, and with a sigh of relief, he switched to English and offered me an interview.
Long story short, despite the language barrier, the interview went well, and I began working at Decathlon on December 14th, 2021. Those days turned out to be some of the best of my life. Working at the AlexanderPlatz Berlin store taught me invaluable lessons, with patience being the most crucial. I learned that every customer is different: some are kind, some understanding, and others quite challenging. Regardless of the situation, we always tried to make the customer happy because, as the saying goes, "The customer is king."
There were times when keeping a smile was tough, especially after dealing with difficult customers. But we always tried to solve the problems, whether it was our fault or not, and greeted the next customer with a smile. This journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. The friendships I've made with my colleagues are priceless, the? value far exceeding words and these bonds will stay with me for a lifetime.
#Kudos to all the people working in retail #Decathlon#workplacefriends
