Decarbonisation and the hydrogen economy
I am certain that anyone who works within the energy industry will be only too familiar with the terms ‘decarbonisation’ and ‘the hydrogen economy’.
But how many of us actually know and appreciate what these terms mean, what challenges they will bring and what opportunities for the supply chain will they present in the coming years and decades.
These are questions that we have been getting at NOF Energy for the past couple of years.
Well attendance at NOF Energy’s Annual Conference, Energy – A Balanced Future, on 14th June will help answer some of these questions.
At the Conference delegates will hear presentations from a number of leading players who are playing a key role at the heart of the decarbonisation agenda and helping to develop the use of hydrogen as a key energy source for the future.
The speakers are Beverley Gower-Jones from Carbon Limiting Technologies, Charles Purkess from ITM Power and Keith Owen from Northern Gas Networks.
The opportunities come from developing strategies, new technologies and skills to deliver a decarbonised UK energy system, at least cost to the customer whilst maximising security of supply.
The UK supply chain has a vital role in meeting the challenges and tremendous capability to maximise the opportunities not only here in the UK but also on a global stage.
Australia, China and Middle East states are just some of the countries looking at developing a decarbonised energy system.
NOF Energy is always looking to identify the opportunities for its members not only in the here and now but also in the decades to come.
So, if you want to share in the opportunities to be generated from a decarbonised energy system come along to Energy - A Balanced Future on 14th June at Hardwick hall Hotel Sedgefield.
